Free Weekend Delivery Until Sunday 10th August at Woolworths Online

1310

This is on page 21 of the latest catalogue. No mention of any minimum spend.

T&Cs:
Free weekend delivery only available for orders placed between Monday 28th July and Saturday 9th August. Offer available for delivery on Saturday 2nd, Sunday 3rd, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th of August 2014 only. Check online for delivery times and locations.

Edit: Catalogue incorrectly shows Saturday as the 3rd & Sunday as the 4th. I'm assuming that's a typo!

Thought that would of been pretty obvious

Obvious it is. High as a kite, billyb67 is.

        • +2

          Because it's called 'Woolworths online'.

        • I was assuming you were being sarcastic and was going to plus you because that was a hilarious comment.

          @Abbycat:

Yes and that essential piece of information was only added 88 minutes ago… as you can see in the title where it says 'Updated'

        • lmao

        • I think the understanding is that "purchase instore" cannot be defined as "orders".

        • @billyb67: o dear o dear o dear

      billyb67 walks into WW.
Purchases trolley-full of groceries, asks for the store to deliver to his house.
WW asks him "why can't you take them home yourself right now?"
      billyb67 says "I walked here. I can't carry them"
      WW: "…."
billyb67 says "So, like, is there room in the front for me too?"

And this is how billyb67 came to discover that WW will not deliver to your house if you purchase your items in store.

      • He confused ww with ikea

    Saturday the 3rd?… (etc)

    • Well spotted. An obvious typo in the catalogue. Post updated.

This may not be new news, but it looks like the first 3 deliveries to new customers are free, so I've jumped on this :)
Sorry if this is old news to anyone!

They mark up the price of non-sale items online :(

The three free deliveries thing has been there for a while.

We used all three free deliveries. They managed to bugger it up every single time. In their defense they refunded us for every single thing they buggered up, but it required us to go to the supermarket anyway to get the actual product we needed so it didn't make sense to use the service anymore.

Same here. They left out some items and didn't deliver on the day they said they would.

They gave me a $20 voucher which didn't actually work as I found out a few weeks later. ;-(

    • Oh really? OK, will definitely check my order being my first time. Main reason I did it was to get my hands on some hot sauce I haven't been able to find in the actual shop, only seen it online. Thanks for the heads up!

I have stopped ordering from online because when you pay by gift card ( for extra 5%discount) and item not in stock or short supplied they can not do credit like they do to your credit card. so they do nothing ! Until you chase them . Then they say they will email you a coupon . Then they don't. …had this 3 times then I gave up.

    Will Try it out again.
Last time I ordered a case of beer and a twix to get over the $30.
They cancelled the beer and hand delivered a twix :)

  • After the last Woolworths online delivery debarcle, they've lost me forever. If you look at the prices charged for items online, they are much dearer. For example, their Premium Woolworths Museli is $6.99 instore and $7.51 online.

I stick to just buying catalogue specials online, and when there's free delivery, it makes it all the sweeter.

    • All woolworths stores have different pricing anyway.

  • @ power71
How does that compare to Carmans Muesli ?(noticed it is $2.50 from wed 30th @Coles)

  • +2

the grocery manager at woolies mentioned there is about a 12% markup on standard non catalogued items to pay for the personal shopper. So TA is right, best to buy items on promo or special online :)

  • Make sure to use your Amex to pay for your purchases
