just got mine too. guys becareful when you put the batteries in, it's a tight squeeze and they bend easily. looks good otherwise.

    • yep, that middle slot is a killer! I'm going to put some alkaline batteries in mine…these cheap carbon batteries look like they will leak in no time. The produt itself is excellent…..can't fault the price.

  • Melbourne arrived - thanks again to MShannon :) and Australia Post :)

    Measures to 5 gram increments

    Works nicely

Battery compartments is the tightest I've seen

Seems to be the Deal Extreme model, in a nice red finish, with the Australia Post logo on it.

  • Arrived today, all is good except for the battery. Doesn't fit in nicely, two battery already got bent when I try to push it in xD be careful not to make it explode :D Cheers. Thank you

  • Got mine yesterday, works fine. Was a good freebie!

  • Excellent freebie. Got mine today TY

  • Seems like everyone is happy with their scales except for me! I can't seem to fit the batteries in. After trying to push them in with force, the exterier has given in and now there's dents on the battery. I don't know safe it is.

  • My battery cover doesn't close after I put the batteries in. I just put a couple of tapes over it to hold it in place.

Not the best of looks but it wasn't fantastically looking anyway.

    Great deal considering it's $0.

  • Sweet … got mine. Just noticed on the back that you can store the hook too!

  • got mine in SA. batteries are crap though and fit too tightly

    Otherwise…AWESOME!

  • yeah battery fits tight but YAY finally got it

  • Got Mine WA

  • Received mine today. 16/09/09

  • Yup the battery won’t fit properly. I used a dremel tool to trim about one full coil off the spring, and then it fits nicely.

Those that dented their batteries, i recommend removing them and trimming the spring, as the battery may start to leak.

Got mine yesterday. Use Duracell batteries instead of those "Tiger" Brand. Fit nicely in the compartment. Tip: Don't push the centre of the battery when inserting. Load the spring side first then push the top end. This will prevent the batteries from bending.

  • Oh no i got mine yesterday and forced the battery down and it kinda looks like bubble gum now but still works :)

  • Never got 1 :(

  • Hmm haven't got mine yet either maybe out of stock?

  • yeah they've probably run out of stock, coz i got mine on the 16th (in WA). So we should have been the last to receive them
