  • thx needed another aa one.

  • Still $5.99, no where to put codes in

    • There is a little "have a coupon code" drop down arrow just under the price on checkout. top right somewhere

      • "Have a coupon code?" is just above Payment Method after clicking BUY NOW in Desktop site, but no code input I could find in mobile site, so switched.

  • Really a noob here… will this work with the batteries from Ozbargain earlier today?
    Panasonic 18650B 3400mAh Protected (Pair) $20.66 + $1.12 Shipping @Fasttech

    • Nope, it's stated in the specs.
      Battery Configurations: 1x AA / 1x 14500 3.6v Battery

      • not sure about this one but I ordered 2 similar torches from Gear Best last time and tried using 14500 in it, the light diod got overload or something and it stopped working within 5 min, switching to AA battery and it's back to normal so I reckon AA battery should be safer on this, abeit less bright.

  • Took me ages to find where to put the code

    • +4

Thanks for pointing it out if anyone else is looking for the place for the coupon, during the checkout process there is the option to enter the coupon code just above the payment options.

We will be upgrading the whole process and making it so much clearer with our new website update coming very soon….

  • This is a great torch - powerful, compact, solid, handy zoom, and AA is better than AAA. And, ebay has various torch bike mounts.
Sometimes can only buy quantity 1 at special price, but I bought 3 for AUD$9.81.
    Make useful gifts.
    Thanks.

  • Bought these ages ago on special and they have been an awesome little torch. got a few more to hand out as gifts and to put in the car.

    Thanks :D

I am still sore about the last one I ordered from Banggood and turned up DOA. Never again.

    • so your torch was a bobby fizzler?

    • +2

Yeah, I had exactly the same problem. First time purchasor from Banggood given all the happy ppl with their little flashlights.
Bought one similar to this one about 2 weeks ago but it came DOA. Emailed banggood, was told to provide video and photo proof. Sent that. Reply was flashlight only takes 14500 battery (i was using AA). I emailed back with photo from that particular flashlight's webpage stating it can be used with AA, as well as user photo showing a picture of AA battery being used and user comments stating it can be used with AA battery.
Their reply: We have two suppliers. Your flashlight came from supplier that uses only 14500 battery. wtf???

To their credit they are saying they will provide refund. Not sure if i should hold my breath for it though. Maybe i should try and see if i can get a replacement with this one as it says it can be used with AA battery and is similar in price. Hopefully it'll come from the supplier that makes it usable with AA battery…. Fingers crossed!! @_@

Side note: i had also bought 1 x larger flashlight ~AUD$13 which worked although significantly not as bright as i expected given the 2000lm listed. Both flashlights came without box packaging (just in plastic bags) and appear used with chip marks. Just FYI, for other ppl considering buying.

    • they don't offer to send another one?

      • Nope, maybe since that particular model says it all sold out. So just still waiting on a reply from my email about getting it replaced with this one above.

  • today I received the same torch from the previous tmart deal.
    ordered another.

  • Hi rep,
Are these genuine Ultrafire Cree torches with the little yellow sticker on the torch body near the lens?
I have bought two of these torches in the past and want another one. (Always need another one)
The fakes, while still being ok torches are noticably less bright than the genuine torches.
    Cheers

    • These are a clone of the Sipik SK68, and this is the most cloned torch in existence.

So these probably not Ultrafire branded :P

    • I reckon at this price expect fake and be extra happy if they're not.

      • So true.
        Couldn't resist so bought two.
Still, I'm pretty sure the original one I got was from Bangood or Tmart or someone else for only about $3-4.

  • just bought 3 for AUD$9.54, thanks 28degrees!

    • Personally I used paypal. Cost 10c more per torch but a little more satisfaction if it doesn't turn up

      • +2

?? I used 28degrees buying through PayPal for better exchange rate. Can't see any benefit or satisfaction in paying more for same PayPal protection.

      • +2

Dajackal probably bought it through Paypal as well.
He is just smarter by using the 28 Degrees card currency conversion rates instead of Paypal's.

  • Bought 3 as well, have the Sipik one (probably 2 years old now) and it's a great little torch. Saw the coupon code field instantly LOL

  • Bought 2 as well. Hopefully, they tail stand as more than half of the Sipik clones I've bought over the past two years do not.

  • Thanks OP bought 3 also, $9.54AUD great torch, have about 4 already but always losing them! 28 Degrees

    • u paid in usd?

      • That's what 28degrees is good for - better exchange rates. You can set the currency on Banggood's site. Paid in us$.

        • yeah used to be in USD, recently it auto set at AUD. thanks for the tip.

  • Already have one but got a couple for gifts.

  • +1

    Must … resist …

  • +1

bought 5 of these the last time the deal was on and none of them worked.

  • cant resist…bought 3 as well…

  • gah another 3 torches

  • Great deal, although personally I find the 3 mode versions annoying.

    • +1

I had bought some 3 mode versions similar to this from Ebay and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
The torch would remember the last mode used; so if you had it on the normal flashlight mode, then the next time you turned it on it would on that setting.

The only time it didn't work is if you turned it on and off too quickly, then it would cycle to the next mode, but for the most part it worked fine.

I'm hoping these work the same way.

      • +1

Yes, these store the last used mode. So if you just turn On/use/Off, it won't change modes. Rapid switching changes modes.
Easy way to change the mode, lightly touch the switch without fully depressing.

  • Bought one. The code worked. 3.27 AUD using Paypal

  • Thank you just purchased 3 just under $10 all up:)

  • +4

Have had two paypal disputes open with banggood in the past. One out of the three items(usually the most expensive one) is never received. Customer service is horrible. They keep asking you to wait for another 4 weeks even after two months. Then they won't refund your money (even after saying they will refund). Its just keeps going on and on. Good for cheap buys like this deal. Anything over this amount i will avoid them.

      • +2

Some of the emails from cservice have "Hattie" as the sender's name. From their response, I felt they were enjoying every bit of my frustration. Any how. I have decided to stay clear of banggood now and would advise others to do the same.

  • damn. regret missing this. EXPIRED :(

  • Torch arrived in Brissie. (10 days from order) That was quick :-)

  • -1

by the way, pretty sure their claims of 600 lumens are BS. so are most of the torches on ebay. Q5 only ouputs maximum of about 300 lumens according to cree.

    • +1

The only reference to 600Lm in this deal is yours?? Banggood do not make that claim for this torch.

Click Deal link to their site. Specs state "400Lm" & that would be with "14500 3.6v Battery". Of course that may be higher than actual output, but not your 600!
