This post is bizarro tones. Whaddya mean "swap the wine", and what's with piggy-backing 1/2 a kilo of offal onto a booze deal ?!?

Call me a snob, but Cab Sav with offal liver… PLEASE!!! Merlot pairs with it better

  • how good is the wine at 3.74?

Woolworths Fresh Chicken Drumsticks per kg min250g @ $4.49kg, 250g works out to be only $1.12 for the meat. thats 76c cheaper

    • thanks - deal updated - but even though eligible/participating product, discount not currently being applied online :(

not sure what mick123 would think about pairing red wine with white meat though? :)

    • now $2.99/kg or $0.74 for 250g :)

  • GOOD DEAL! It seems you can add each of the specials PER piece of meat, so a great time to load up on the meat, wine and beer. Cheers.

    • Once you add 6 bottles or more however, it reverts to the 30% off, so maximum 5 bottles of wine (and 5 meats) to get the ultimate savings.

  • I've got quite a few of these half price coupon on my woollie receipt from this week already.
I guess if you buy some meat you can get the coupon on the receipt. plenty people leave them behind, if you dont buy meat!

  • just went to woolies
and BWS scanned from 15 dollars to 7.50……

anyone tried yet? online need to be 30 dollars but in store not working for me

  • I just purchased 6 of these wines online for $31.92 (another 30% off for purchasing six), with free delivery via this link. No offal purchase necessary!!

    • If you're happy I'm happy mooks, but methinks you may perhaps have missed something here…

      • $31.92 is still a great deal compared to the standard Dan Murphy price. As per my other comment below, I don't think $3.70 a bottle was gonna happen…

        • I got mine yesterday. Can't buy 0.25kg of things though anymore. If you buy things by the kg you have to enter in 1kg or just buy things by "each". Eg buy 5 x chicken schnitzels for $2.99 each and you get the 5 wines for $3.74 each. The chicken ends up costing $14.95 and the wines $18.70. Total cost of $33.65 for meets the minimum $30 order. Still working as at now….

        • Can't buy 0.25kg of things though anymore.

Woolworths Fresh Chicken Drumsticks $2.99/kg - min. 250g online

        • @tonester: Maybe I should have written it better. You can obviously still buy them, but it doesn't count to get the half price beer/wine unless you buy 1kg. I also bought chicken drumsticks (on special for $2.99kg last week) and the wine.

  • "note online error with discount not currently being applied :("

I don't think this is the case. The RRP is $15.59. The discount after this 50% off coupon should make it $7.49, not another 50% off to $3.70? I think this is a pricing error and shouldn't apply to the discounted price.

Now I'm getting "This item is temporarily out of stock - Please select an alternative" on the Cab Sav…

    • the online error is with the chicken drumsticks for which you can request a difference refund - lamb liver automatically gives the wine for $3.74 :)

      • +1

Not for me it doesn't. Wine is 50% off, i.e. $7.80

        • I got the same thing today in store, they told me the wine was half price with the printed coupon, $7.50.

        • But when I try it online it comes up as 3.75, with some chicken, guess I need to go back and tell them that tomorrow…….
