Shots fired at SS. Both cheaper by $20 and $10 respectively.

    • +2

      What is SS?

      • +7
        • +3

They are quick to return fire though.

      • +4

        What is SS?

        • A group of infamous divisions of the German Army in WW2.
        • A muscle car with a big V8 in it.
        • Yet another Yumcha Chinese wholesaler called ShoppingSquare.

          Amar89,

I'm aware of the first 2, but they hardly have anything to do with SSD. The 3rd one however I did a quick Google search on and it brought up Shopping Square. Thought that might be it, but the prices were way higher.

The correct answer was Shopping Express as already stated.

        • Dearest Kamoi,

          S_rc_sm

          Buy a goddamned vowel.

          Sincerely,
          Amar 89.

Is the Ultra Plus a newer model? Hard to follow, Extreme, Ultra, Extreme II, Ultra Plus etc. Madness!

    • +6

      Sparta?

    • +1

      Extreme II > Ultra Plus
It's almost on-par to the Samsung EVO if not better

was going to order but with 1.5% paypal surchage, i switch to SS

    • According to PayPal's TOS, it is a breach of terms to have a surcharge for paying with Paypal
      https://www.paypal.com/au/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full#…

EDIT: Paypal User Agreement : Section 11.2.C states :-
"Not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting our Services as a payment method."

You could report it to Paypal and get your moolah refund AFAIK.

    I love Scorptec!!!

Free delivery is the way to go :) Paypal surchage not so much :(

    Grabbed a 480GB, thanks.

Prefer to support shops with a storefront.

    • SE is actually owned by the same company that owns a chain of computer stores, so buying from either Scorptec or Shopping Express is supporting a storefront.

How does the SanDisk Extreme II compare with the Samsung 480 Pro (Got one from Mwave from $179 a week ago), did i screw myself ?

    • +1

Not much, they were last years enteprise top picks, the 840 pro got a little edge over the sandisk, but a $50 price difference is probably too much

      • Difference will be barely noticable, only a few numbers in benchmark results/scores. This SanDisk Extrem II is a Bargain @ $129 Delivered, both from Scorptec and Shopping Express. But credit should go first to Scorptec for listing first at this great price, altough SS did list it here first on OzB , but higher price, then later forcing themselves to match price with scorptec for OzB, also good to see.

Would love an mSata deal-preferably 256GB. Any chance?

    • Would love 1tb msata Samsung evo deal.

  • +1

Can these be picked up instore?

Much prefer this offer than the Shopping Express offer that uses 'Couriers Never' default delivery attempts.

    • Yes, if you place the order online you're given the option to pick up in store.

Is this recommended for upgrading MacBook Pro hdd?

    • I think the MBP has a Apple only connector.

    • If you've got the old-style MacBook Pro (with a CD drive) then this will work fine. Just be careful with the cable when you swap the drive - and you'll need a small Torx driver to change the standoff-things over. iFixit should have a guide :-)

  • Painful checkout process for me. I could log into Paypal, and pay, but would not actually go through and I would redirect back to make payment page. Didn't work on two separate browsers (FF & Chrome). Tried CC, that failed on FF, but eventually succeed on Chrome. Must have tried to complete checkout about 12-15 times…
And of course no support on Saturday… :(

    • Hi,

Sorry to hear about the issues - if you give us a call on 1300-726-770 or email us at [email protected], we'll be more than happy to help.

      • Chris
      • I'll have too.. My CC has been charged twice.
        Thanks Chris.

    Bought, thank you.

Actually placed order for Cash on Pickup, so no surcharge and AustPost get 1 less parcel to deliver.

@$41 cheaper than MSY, I am SUPER HAPPY!

  • Scorptec sadly doesn't accept parcel locker deliveries, even though they ship using StarTrack (which supports it). Heading over to Shopping Express instead.

    • +1

If you're outside of Melbourne metro and ordering only 1 or 2 units, these will be sent via Aus Post so parcel lockers won't be an issue.

      • I have tried ordering with delivery to parcel locker and it says "We do NOT ship to a PO BOX or Parcel Locker delivery address." and does not let me proceed.
Does "OZSSD" go in "member code" to get free delivery? I haven't used scorptech before and was expecting something like "coupon" instead. I'm just not sure whether I will get that when I get past the delivery problem.

        • Hey, sorry for the delayed reply. Yes, use the OZSSD in the member code to get free delivery. If you're still having issues placing the order, give us a call on 1300-726-770.

  • Any chance you will put the Pro ones up for sale?

  • Anyone got their order yet? I'm still waiting.

    • I ordered a Samsung SSD from shopping express and have already had it for about a week…
