+1 for undercutting the (already good) Telstra deal!

Great price for local stock. Would definitely bite if my Oneplus was not on the way.

I thought Australia enforces 2 years warranty or did they change it again?

    • +1

the seller themselves (mobileciti) is responsible for statutory warranty for a 'reasonable period' in which you'd expect the item to last, which when tested in ACCC with mobile phones on 2 year plans, was 2 years. This means you'd reasonably expect the same phone not on a plan to also last 2 years.

LG is allowed to offer their own 12 month warranty above and beyond the statutory warranty. They might provide better/faster service than dealing direct with the seller, but the seller is not allowed to palm you off to LG if you don't want to go there.

      • -1

its not 2 years. Its a reasonable period, at least 2 years going by the contract

but its completely bullshit to expect it to last only 2 years. 5 year old smartphones still work fine.

    • Hi maxhu

Yes, 100% 2 years LG warranty.

    • wondering where you got Oneplus from…?

      • Hi temptingdeals

We never got Oneplus, its grey import stock only.

        • Sorry the question is meant for maxhu. =)
Thanks for the prompt reply though

        • I got an invite from the official forum and got it shipped from the US.

Is it the 16gb storage one with 2gb ram, or 32gb storage one with 3gb of ram?

    • +1

all AU release is 2G/16G IIRC, no difference with this one

    • Hi salem

this is 16gb storage with 2gb ram version.

  • Hi rep, any chance to get that discount back for the Nexus 5 from a week ago? The G3 is a little out of my price range.

    • Hi Zidago

Sorry We don't have deal for Nexus 5 like last time, best price $399 free shipping.

  • +2

If I needed a new phone, id buy one. +1 for always giving good deals!

    • I read that as: 'If I needed a new phone I'd buy 1+1…'

      Hi chuyengia3a

can you share the link if you found better price for same product?

    • +2

  • So Tempting.. 667 - GST 60.60=$606.40

Anyone know if G3 has magnets like Nexus 5? Its the only thing stopping me now.
I am using Logitech +Drive Mount and its so classy with Nexus 5.

Rep : Any specials on 16gb LG G2?

  • I would have bought this phone if it wasn't for the QHD screen. LG UI is also laggy according to many, and the screen overheats which causes the processor to throttle. There's a version with an 805, I haven't looked into it, but that is probably the version to get if you want this phone.

    • The LG UI does have some lag in there even with the 3gb version. However it pretty much disappears if you turn off animations and install a different launcher.

    • A Google search found a number of fixes for the lagging and the overheat. Don't know if they work as I don't have a G3 (yet).

  • Rep - HTC M8 - any chance of a rocket price on this one, im just scared 5.5 inches in my hand will be unusable, and the M8 may be a better fit - as well as being close to my best price point of $500 - $550

    • Aren't they essentially the same size? with the g3 only being slightly wider?

      • +1

Having used optimus g pro for few months, I can tell you that it's bit hard to use a phone with 5.5 inch screen. The LG phone itself was really good, but can't use it properly with one hand. Especially on public transport. Wonder why flagship phones are now phablet size.

  • They are $591.99 delivered from Kogan. or $651.99 for the 32GB version.

        "Australian warranty"

    • +1

yes, the different was our price inc GST, 2 years LG warranty and FREE SHIPPING.

  • +3

Kogan and DWI does not have 100% 2 years LG warranty.

    • That's funny. LG Australia only offer a 1 year warranty anyway, unless explicitly listed as greater on the LG warranty card that comes from certain mobile phone providers.
      http://www.lg.com/au/support/warranty/mobile-phones

I would be very surprised if Mobileciti have their own agreement with LG with their own LG warranty card.

In addition, all LG's warranty gives you is a free repair if faulty. This is pretty much the bare minimum under Australian statutory warranties, which give you longer and better rights anyway.

I'd be buying from wherever it's cheapest that has an Australian presence that you can make honour Australian statutory warranties. Such as Kogan, whom I had no issues getting a full refund from 14 months after I bought a phone who's screen started to die.

      • that's also why more and more Australian businesses dying … till we all HAVE to buy grey impo in a not so far future?

      • +1

stop talking such common sense, Salem!!

This is ozbargain. Where a $10 iOs app (discounted from $75) will get 100 votes. Where a "grey import" is bad, and local stock is sacred.

  • +1

Will the G2 drop in price once this is released? as i may go for the G2, more Hand friendly, but dont want to buy if in 3 weeks it will be cheaper

  • +2

I'm loving my G3, the screen is epic big n sharp but is still one hand usable thanks to the thin bezel and curved back. Its literally the only phone out that combines a big screen + totally one hand usable!

    • +1

You have me thinking now trance if the G3 may be a better option than the G2 (which from what i have seen is very nice in the hand)… Maybe the price will decide if i can get a G2 for around $400 id be sold.

  • Rep please confirm if you are WRONG in stating that you have 2 year LG warranty.

I have preordered and paid for one.

I want to know what you can do if you were wrong. If it is only one year warranty then I do regret paying $667 for it.

    • +1

      hluu0111

100% 2 years LG warranty for LG G3, some other model still 1 year warranty.

    • Can you report back when you get it and let us know what the warranty card says? Cheers.

      • sure, salem

hi Rep, any deal for BlackBerry Q10?

  • Hi Rep. Trying to buy the G3. Getting website error when trying to add a black version to my cart?

Update. Am able to add phone to cart by refreshing page, but unable to apply discount code, even when refreshing page?

Further update. Seems to have come good now…..managed to order the phone.

    Thanks
