      99% of the apps have both IOS and Android versions. However if you like to use OTG(use usb powered device on the phone) or record some 4K videos, I don't think apple has that technology available ;)

        I'm more interested in cutting edge tech. Couldn't particularly care if it ran ios or android, especially when their app store virtually has the same content. The main advantage with going to android too is that their paid apps cost me less than the ios paid apps. Next tab I'd get will probably be the tegra shield or the next google one, since they'll offer vastly superior hardware over anything out currently.

  Can't believe I'm saying it but if you want an iPad you'd be better off geting a Retina mini from Kogan for $389. You give up 16GB of storage but you've got a way better CPU (5x faster), GPU, and screen, more battery life, and some semblance of Australian warranty.

  If Kogan do the iPad Mini (original) for $200 again that is a great buy. It's fine for most uses.
