The T&Cs neglect to restrict entries to the current City2Surf. I wonder if they validate the number entered against the City2Surf entries database.

The "T&Cs", as you call them, are not restricted to the fine print at the bottom of the page.

The document needs to be read as a whole, considering its context. It's called a "City 2 Surf Recovery Burger", the offer coincides with the current 2014 City 2 Surf, and it asks for a C2S registration number as a mandatory field. Any reasonable person looking at this objectively would interpret it to mean it's restricted to this year's City2Surf entrants.

      • Yep, definitely a law student.

        • Or a lawyer

    I miss free Grill'd for Movember :(

  • what's a city2surf registration number? Is it the bib number?

    • You should have received an email with your 'Race Number' when you registered. Well that at least worked for me. Not sure if its the same as bib number. Most likely it is.

      • I don't see no number except my race number.

What if I just use the number 23…coz it's like an homage or something? :P

  • Not particularly useful if one is going to Sydney just for the weekend of the event.

  • That's alot of self inflicted pain and torture for a free hamburger!

  • That defeats the purpose of running

What? Grill'd burgers are great. Unprocessed chicken, whole bunch of salad and bun. I don't see anything bad in it? Exercise burns energy, food needs to replace it. Where's your problem?

      • Why the vote down? Easier to click a '-' than come up with any logical argument?

        • Not me

  • Thanks for the share! I used my bib number and it said registration succeeded.

  • Good luck to all. A great day.

  • Can the reg number be randomly entered? Free vouchers for everyone.

    • how many digits does the reg number have?

      • Well, let's exploit it a bit. They will offer it next year again for sure, then.

    • Make sure you don't use Superman's number, he's one competitor you don't wanna upset!

  • Last year you had to show them your actual Bib to receive the burger.

  • My bib number is 2****, 5 digits long. I also noticed a link for this on the C2S site.

Last year, there was 83,410 entrants. I suppose you could enter any random series of numbers, up to 5 digits. I don't know if they're going to check.

  • I just put a random 5 digit number and it worked.

  • Hey not a bad idea from grilled, get healthy people more hooked on fast food, a whole market out there waiting to be reaped.

It's not fast food. Have you ever had Grill'd? Their burgers are far more healthier than Subway's rubbish. Explain to me how a piece of grilled unprocessed chicken breast, huge amount of salad, cheese and a bun is bad?

You forgot to tick the rep box, Toad. :P

        • I don't and never have worked for Grill'd. I just don't like people sprouting stuff when they obviously have no idea what they're talking about.

        • That vote down wasn't from me. Here have a +

        • @PainToad: Cheers! ;)

  • You can succeed to put random number on the form but it doesn't always mean you will get your burger

  • a voucher will be emailed to you on Monday 11 August

Damn, no lunch on the day :(

  • Anyone got their voucher yet?

    • Nope! Marketing FAIL!

    • Received tonight

  • got mine just now.

    • Did you have to show the bib number or just the voucher?

      • Got my burger yesterday. Only had to show voucher, no bib. I printed mine but 2 people before me just had it scanned from their phone

  • Got mine today. lol.
