  • Its nice to see these things still selling for close to what they were 12 months ago.

If you believe the rumours, HTC is supposedly building the new nexus tab and announcing it later this month. The Volantis will supposedly have a starting price of $399 US, so if there's any truth to it, we might be waiting a while before we see another nexus tab priced at this level. Irrespective, unless you are willing to import from the US, there will probably be a few month wait for Australians to get a release. I guess if we are lucky might have a new nexus tab before xmas at this rate. Personally I am looking at the new nvidia shield tab, it offers phenomenal value for less than $350. Even that looks like it'll be a few months before they can meet demand and sort out their hardware issues with the initial batch.

    • @kazines: Did you get a sealed cardboard box from the $159 deal?

  • $25 Amex for binglee just expired few day ago :(

  • I found the 7" to be to close in size to my phone to warrant owning, would recommend the lg g pad gpe ala https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/155602 over the nexus. Nvidia's shield is interesting but the display is reported to be average. Samsung's tab s is my pick atm but I'm waiting to see what HTC deliver with the nexus 8 and hopeful that it is competitively priced.

    • Agree. Would prefer a 10" tablet to be significantly bigger than my phone, but that $159 refurbished deal was too good to pass, so I bought one :)

  • 10" too big. 7" is just right.
