UPDATE: Sunday 10/8 11:30pm. I have taken note of concerns about if the apple charger is authentic/genuine apple or some rip off. Given the recent incidents of electrocuting from cheap Asian chargers I have emailed Unique mobiles to ask. I will update this thread hopefully tomorrow when I get a reply back.

        Old stock from where? Think about it. They are not Authorised Apple Resellers. They get Apple products from others and from Hong Kong, China. Genuine Apple Chargers and genuine Apple cables, even if imported from an authorised reseller in Hong Kong, are not going to be sold here for AU$25.

        It does sound suspicious though… I might call them tomorrow and see what they say…

        Why? It is a waste of time. Do you really expect a crook to say "Oh, yes, those ones - they are cheap illegal counterfeits we imported from China."

        It is 'reasonably reliable'.

        Especially if it says Australian stock and shipped from Brisbane when it probably isn't…

        It would be stocked by them in their Australian office. Also, they will be posting them from there as well. So, that part is true. This does not mean that the items (the AC wall Chargers) were ever supplied by Apple - nor that they are Australian market items.

        But you are most likely right that they are counterfeit products from HK

        Correct, except from mainland China and probably shipped via Hong Kong.

  Also "australian stock" could be translated into "we imported heaps of cheap junk from china and it is now physically sitting on the australian continent so we call it australian stock"

  It is not only the 'rip off' that is a concern.

  As you have, quite rightly, also mentioned - the risk of death by electrocution, or serious injury or a fire are also of concern.
