whats the difference between MX100 and M500?

p.s. when will you run another NUC sale? I missed the last one waiting for confirmation of model numbers.

  • Rep did you plan on having any more specials on the R7000?

    • Hi dy4me,

      Not at the moment.

      cheers
      SE

  • Also how does the MX100 stack up vs. Samsung's 840 EVO and PRO?

    Thanks!

    @ShoppingExpress
Any idea when You should have the Samsung 850 Pro SSDs for sale?

    Thank You Very Much,
    George

  • Any deals on the Crucial M.2 M550?

  • Congrats rep, not a bad price for local stock! I was eyeing off the MX100 512GB on Amazon ~$240AU delivered.

Just a quick question about "carries Australia's Manufacturer Warranty", where does the drive go for warranty?

    • No Positive vote for the deal then?

      • Yeah, was waiting to see if the warranty was send to the manufacturer, not in Australia. I'll give it a + anyway.

    • i went out and got that, now i am running a 512 as my primary over the EVO 250 previously
i didnt feel any difference in respond speed at all
so if one is getting 512 version, it is on par with the EVO 250 / 500

  • I saw this Plextor M5 Pro 512gb @
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/156495

    • wow 249.00 is a good deal for the plextor 512GB, I bought the 256GB version a year ago at that price.

EDIT: HIT Online lists it for 389.00 on their website, 249.00 only on ebay and apparently limited to 10 units only. How reputable are HIT online? Anyone?

  • I'm looking at replacing my 3 year old OCZ Agility 3 after it has been my worst investment ever. Numerous blue screens and just general crappy performance, which has worsened over time. Is this drive a fairly fast, and most importantly, reliable drive? Or can anyone recommend me one that is? Cheers

    • Yes, they're fast but they're not as fast as Samsung 840 Evo or Pro, Intel 530, OCZ Vector and Crucial M550, at least not on paper. Real world tests wouldn't show much noticeable difference. Can't comment on the reliability yet as they're too new to market, but they have a good warranty so Crucial must be pretty confident in their endurance. SSD reliability in general has come a long way since the OCZ Agility and Vertex 3 models, both of which had relatively high failure rates due to firmware issues.

  • The first release was cheaper, even Amazon have put their price up. Supply and Demand Baby

  • I would love another N54L deal. Spewing I missed the last one. Really want one now!
