Can we stack this on top of our current free 1 year subsciption?

I think it would be best to just wait for that to expire and then activate the premium license. The activation code for premium and premium plus are valid indefinitely.

PS: I also bought 1 premium plus license to use on all my devices.

  • Or via windowsdeal.com you can get the snowden edition for for $9.99
    http://www.windowsdeal.com/w/cyberghost-5-premium-vpn-snowde…

    • I see the price is the same for CyberGhost 5 Premium Plus, but at topwaresale you can get free 1 year Special Edition.

$9.99 is Snowden Edition which you can use on 1 device only and limited servers.

  • I've been using this for about 3 weeks and it is working OK.
I signed up for a year with an earlier deal.
It slows my downloads by about 15% when I use a Swedish location.
They are based in Romania which imo beats the US based VPNs for Government logging requirements.

  • Can someone clarify this deal, premium plus is 12 months plus another 12 months meaning 24 months or are they different subscriptions?

    • I just got a reply from Admin topwaresale:

"If you buy, you will get CyberGhost 5 Premium Plus VPN 12 months license. About Special Edition CyberGhost subscription, it's a different license. With Special Edition, you can access to most wanted servers and use on 1 device."

I think Special Edition is most likely Snowden Edition on cyberghost website.

    • The Special Edition is the same as Premium Plus with the same restricted servers as the Snowden Edition.

      https://store.cyberghostvpn.com/848/?scope=checkout&cart=136…

It's currently on special for about $7 USD if you look around. In all the deal posted is great for 2 years total for 5 devices.

Looks like a good offer thanks OP.

I already have the 6 month free deal (Premium promo), which I have also found to drop my download bandwidth by about 10 to 20%. I mainly choose to exit VPN using their Canada servers, and the only annoying thing I get is kicked/ disconnect from the server after about two hours of use, though it automatically blocks your internet connection until you restart your Ghost connection, so you realise fairly quick that it has stopped.

I have found Ghost to be much better than Hotspot Shield that I had been using (Speed and available servers).

I would expect that there will be a lot more Aussies thinking about their security (Encrypting the traffic) with all the chat in the press about the government wanting to capture net usage of everyone in Australia for two years (Mainly due to the 20 or so bad guys that go overseas and get up to bad stuff, or even worse, the criminals grabbing TV shows)

  • Thanks OP, looks good.
It may be a good time to mention that uploaded.net have a sale for the next few days. 3 years for the price of 2.

  • i had that free 6 month subscription, but i found it a bit slow than my private internet access(AU$45/year), otherwise the price is very good.

  • Can this service be instantly switched on and off when needed? Thanks

    • Yes you can, but I would not say that it switches "immediately" between its two states though. For me, switching from Australia to Canada or Rumania takes about a minute to lock in, but not such a big deal.
I find I leave mine running pretty much all the time when surfing, works fairly fast through Canada back into Australia, though you will appear to retailers as though you are from overseas (For shipping etc).

      • Cheers mate

  • can anyone confirm whether cyberghost works in China?
