    tldr; Stutter/lag issues, especially on English channels. Otherwise good.

      the lag issue has been fixed with two weeks ago, now it is working with no lag. :)
      The streaming speed is much faster than tvpad3.

          For a lot of these streams, you need to be on Telstra as they have a direct fibre connection underneath the sea to China (Asia America Gateway).

          Otherwise, you have to bounce all the way from Guam to Japan to America back to China.

          you do not need telstra
          you need a normal ADSL 2 connection with at least 4mbps for the download bandwidth, TPG is good enough for those streamings.

    I bought this when they came out in US for USD $350 included shipping and at that time the selling points of this device was like a tvpad killer. But after I used then I realized this device like rubbish the stream quality even I put it on HD are still sh!t and LAGGING make this device completely not recommended to anyone!!!

    Right now, I just used it as media player and rarely using it for streaming because I'm getting lagging issue very often on all live channels.

      Yeah
      At that time there were streaming issues and you can try to update those live apps in the App Store, it should be working fine now, do not forget to install video starter, that's very important for steaming channels and videos.

          When we buy similar IPTV devices, we buy for the live streaming channels.
          VOD should be considered as extra because you can get them on cheap Android devices anyway.

      Have you installed the video starter and update to the latest one ?
      Tvpad3 is working fine right now but with less and less English channels and VODS.

      I'm using tvpad2 and the only problem was during peak time connecting takes longer but watchable just have to be patient.

      I recommended you to buy tvpad over weltv but take the risk during major Chinese public holidays, eg: CNY, your tvpad maybe turned into a brick and completely can't watch anything. Because they always getting hacked during those time when they on holidays and no one to fix it.

    Hi Regis,

    I have the TVPAD3 and it works great and was bought from onestopadmin about three months ago. There are a few points I'd like to make though.

    Firstly, the WiFi is crap and will cause many issues with your picture breaking up. To fix this, use the TVPAD3 with a pair of ethernet over power adaptors (EOP) to connected between your router and the ethernet port on the TVPAD3.

    Second, set-up Quality Of Service (QOS) on your router. Otherwise whenever somebody is using your internet connection the picture on the TVPAD3 will break up. If your router doesn't support QOS, get one that does.

    We watch the Japanese channels which are all there and work well but the stream is delayed by about 5-minutes. For gambling reasons I assume.

        Hi IVI,

        The Wifi-to-ethernet adaptor should be better than the inbuilt Wifi in the TVPAD3.

        Ethernet over power would be better though.

    how do you know whether your system is up to date? (is there a way you can check that?)
    Also, i saw from the clubtv's youtube, it has an icon saying 3D, so i presume that is to watch 3D (one of the feature of weltv, right?) is it assessible here?

      I do not think there is any reseller in Adelaide yet
      besides a huge upgrade from the hardware perspective, the Premium one can allow you to record TV shows you like to your external device. Can decoding 4K or bluray movies you download from internet.

        Premium has HDMI in. It can used to record most HDMI devices.
        A HDMI recorder normally sells at least $150.

    I just watch the streams for free on clubtvpad forum.

    I think the streams are quite similar to that on the tvpad.

    Either way, since most of the streams come out of China, you need to have a good ISP with a direct underground sea cable to China. e.g. Telstra with the Asia America Gateway. Otherwise you will experience very high pings and low speeds.

    Just stream via VLC.

      Again, you don't need Telstra, any internet with download speed over 4Mbps is fine, TPG is good enough for this.

    Hi grrrrrr,

    Just placed an order for the TVPad3 yesterday.
    I've checked on the status of my order today and it says "Your product is under repairing process" (which i thought is a little strange).

    Any idea what the lead time is before the item is ready for shipping?
