MYER: iTunes Gift Card 20% Discount, Spend $100 Receive a $20 Card+Free Delivery

550

I've been searching for discounted iTunes cards and came across this deal. I thought I'd share it with you: http://www.giftcardsonsale.com.au/2014/08/20-itunes-gift-car…

More specifically, the deal in the comments. I've tried it myself on the Myer site and it works.

Copy and paste details from the link. Originally posted by user Catherine:

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know I used the Myer online deal today to score over 30% off.
I purchased a $100 card and a $30 card to receive:
-free delivery because it is over $100
-20% off because of the deal
-an additional free $20 card because I purchased more than $99

In total I will receive $150 worth of cards for $104.

Not sure how long it will stay there as it may be an error with the free card.

Good Luck!

If you bump it up could you use your american express card if you spend $200?

    • Just did a trial - if you order $280 for $158 worth of gift cards for itunes. Around 43% off?

      Would that work?

      • Actually can do $270 for $150 even. Total of 44.5% discount with American Express $50 off?

        • Gift cards are excluded from the offer you are talking about.

        • @wizzlesticks:

Even iTunes ones? How would they know?

        • It's a bit of a gamble. You might get lucky.

        • +11

I just took the gamble and got the following email:

"Congratulations! You have completed all qualifying transactions on your
          registered Card ending in xxxxx.

Your $50 credit back for spending $200 at MYER Online will be issued to your registered Card account"

          Cha-ching!

  • Legend, thanks! Just did.

  • The shopping cart says this about the free $20 card: "Receive a BONUS $20 iTunes Gift Card with the purchase of any Mobile Speaker over $99". So probably an error. Nice catch. :)

    • Look carefully in your cart. It is there but with a note saying the free$20card is out of stock.

      • free $20 gift card showing instock for me

      • My order went through and shipping tomorrow so the email says.

      • No out of stock note for me. Maybe it depends on your location?

      • Fine for me as well - just purchased and the $20 iTunes card was automatically added, same ship date as the $100 and $30 cards :-)

  • Seems you can't use Myer gift cards online to purchase. I received reward gift card yesterday and figured I'd use it on this. Myer says no.

    • You'll be able to get the 20% off iTunes in store from August 28.

EDIT: Actually, I think Myer might give you grief trying to purchase a gift card with another type of gift card.

Silly question, but what do you guys use so much iTunes credit on?

    • +5

Gems for Clash of Clans! :p

      • Wow, two down votes for answering a question honestly.

        • Spending 10s-100s of dollars on freemium software just isn't the OzBargain way.

        • +2

Any value spent from iTunes credit goes towards intangible products, be it gaming, magazine subscriptions, music, et al… To each their own.

      • +4

I'll give you a vote for being so honest, as wasteful as it may seem.
Closest I ever came to spending money on a freemium game was that damn candy crush, but then I had a good think about it and deleted the game instead.

I've spent a bit of money on CoC so I get where you're coming from.

    • Magazine subscriptions, TV shows, the odd song.

      One word … Teenagers!

I can see many uses, because it is a store that sells music, movies, apps etc.

That said, I've had the same $40 (2x$20 cards) of iTunes credit in my account for almost 2 years now.
It's been about 5 years since I had an iPhone, and now that I have just the ipad connected it's only an app every now and then.
Most of my purchased music is either old school with CDs (then ripped), or via the google store instead.

    • I buy all my music from iTunes. You can also use it for large Mac apps like final cut pro, motion, etc to knock the cost down significantly. Plus there are ios apps, movie rentals, magazine subscriptions ( I use Zinio a lot when they have their subscription sales then it's a double deal).

  • Local WoW servo had 20% off iTunes - presume Woolies do too.

  • Thanks! Picked up the $150 of vouchers for $104!

    it doesn't work anymore???

    • yeah not working for me either?
no mention of a free $20 card anywhere?

    • I do not get a Free $20 card also. Is there anything different I need to do other than add the itunes card to the cart.

  • Looks like this deal was an error and ended now.

  • The dream is over, I rang up and cancelled my order without free $20 card.

    Mark as expired

  • So… the $130 worth of itunes cards has been dispatched… but not the free $20 card… I wonder if they'll try to get out of sending it?

    • Was the free $20 card included in your cart/on your receipt?

      • It was! Still waiting on the second dispatch notice…

    • +3

At first I thought the same but mine was sent in two different batches. Glad they honoured the deal.

  • How do you get the $50 back after you spend the $200 on AMEX ?
    Thanks

    • Did you sign up?

  • Sign up to Myers ? … yes

    • Sign up to the American express deal?

  • I already have an Amex card, do you mean sign up with Amex ?

    • No, you log into their website and there is a promotions section where you can choose the current promotions to opt into.

  • I went to American Express website and no mention of this offer

    • It won't come up anymore if you didn't subscribe.

  • Thanks for your help. Much appreciated. I will give it a miss, maybe next time.
