  • nothing for me either and I did mine in August when it got posted. when I signed up like 18 months ago I didn't even get the $75 then and have not had any promo offer ever :( OP have you got your $75?

    • Chase it up with them.

  • Received my $75 today!

    • Great news - are you a "new" customer?

      • Existing + email

Received mine today. Existing customer who got the email.

      Same here!

      Me three :D

  • No love for new accounts? :(

  • Got mine. :D

    Thanks Op

  • Got mine today also.

    Thanks OzB

  • Not happy, ING. Still haven't received it, and I did it in August.

  • If you received the bonus were you a new or existing customer and did you receive the e-mail or not?

    • Existing customer + email.

  • Haven't received it either. I am a new customer and received the e-mail mentioning the bonus after having signed up.

    Poor form ing…

  • Messaged them about the offer and they said that since I met the conditions, it should be processed with the October batch (which is still happening next week apparently).

    So there's still hope…

    • Did the same.
"I can confirm that you have met the conditions of the offer. You should expect to receive your bonus within the next few weeks. "

  • +1

    Messaged them, this the reply:

    Hi Tooblue,

    Thank you for your message.
Can I confirm how you heard about this offer?
I could not find on you our targeted customers list.
We look forward to your reply.

    Regards,

What do I tell them? From professionals on Ozbargain?

    • +1

Since they changed the t&c's stating you needed to be on the mailing list, say a friend let you know about the offer, entered your details and the website accepted you, tell them you have deposited at least 1k into your account and as a loyal ing customer you would be disappointed if you didn't receive the bonus

  • A win after contacting them via messaging;

    "Thank you for your patience.

I am just contacting you back on behalf of XXXX who was looking into the bonus $75 for you.

This has now been credited to your account.

Please let us know if you require any further assistance."

  • Having not received any bonus payment or email/news from them, I contacted them this week and received the following reply:

"I can see you have registered for this promotion and made your first deposit. The next batch of payments are being made within the next week so keep an eye on your account for your bonus payment."

I am a new customer (did not receive a targeted email); just registered for the promo on their website, then opened a new account. It has however, been over 6 weeks now since I opened my account.

    • Same here… I'm very annoyed…

      • At least I think you will get it sooner or later.

For me, they replied with 'only for existing customers and mailing list'. Therefore I'm not eligible.

Waste of effort, time to close.

    • Exact same thing happened to me - still waiting

  • Got this on my wife's account;

"The promotion you have registered for was for a selected number of existing customers only. These customers were sent the offer directly by email.

As you were not targeted for this particular offer you would not be eligible to receive the bonus."

  • anyone got a copy of the original terms?

  • havent got mine

  • So they're not paying out if you didn't get the email? Still nothing for me.

  • Can anyone forward me the email they got regarding the promotion? I messaged them saying a friend forwarded me the email and they want that unique code now in the email.

So, after going through agonizing waits and multiple annoying phone calls with ING, not a favourable result. In fact, really really annoyed. First few times I called them a different customer service officer kept telling me that I met the conditions and will be paid "soon" (obviously, in retrospect, they had NO IDEA what they were talking about or what deal I was referring to, coz ING is fully backing out of any claims they made on previous phone conversations)

    Reply from them -

    1) Thank you for your message.

I am sorry to hear of your frustration regarding this matter.

I cannot find any other messages that you have sent us, or are you referring to a conversation you had with us over the phone? If so, I do not have access to listen to this call.

I can see that you registered for an offer but the offer that you registered for was our existing client offer not the offer for new clients.

It looks as though the people on OzBargin who have suggested that you do this, have provided you with incorrect information and therefore you are not eligible for this offer.

Whilst you are not eligible for this particular offer you can still take advantage of the great benefits of this account.

Customers who deposit an amount equal to or greater than $1000 in total into their personal savings accounts (excluding super) each calendar month will receive a 2% rebate on all contactless purchases of under $100 and will also receive a rebate on all ATM withdrawals made within Australia, no matter what the amount.

Please let us know if you have any further queries.

    Regards,

    2) Thank you for your reply.

We have notes on your file regarding your previous enquiries about the $75 bonus payment. While we are unable to know at this point in time exactly what was said on those calls we can see that you had called and enquired about this before.

The registration you have used was a campaign targeted for existing clients. It seems you heard about this promotion through the Ozbargins? Often not all the correct details and eligibility information is confirmed by a third party website. In this case they have posted an offer that does not show all the eligible information.

****** This is a third party site and we are unable to monitor the content they post. Unfortunately they often post promotions and campaigns they may not be available to their audience. ******

If you are ever unsure if a promotion would apply to you please contact our Customer Care Specialists and we can discuss it with you.

You are not eligible for the $75 promotion this time.

Did you know you can still take advantage of the great features of the Orange Everyday account? If you use your VISA debit card for payWave purchase under $100 and also deposit $1000 in to your account during a month you will be eligible for a 2% rebate on your payWave purchase the following month as well as ATM fees being rebated for you.

Let us know if we can help further.

MY QUESTION IS, THIS HAS NOW BECOME A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE RATHER THAN GETTING $75 BACK FROM THEM (ALTHOUGH, I DO PRIDE MYSELF IN GETTING GOOD BARGAINS AS MUCH AS I CAN, BUT WHEN COMPANIES CHANGE THEIR STORIES TO ATTRACT CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS I DO GET ANNOYED), SO IF ANYONE HAS A SCREENSAVE OF THE DEALS PAGE, IT WOULD BE A TREMENDOUS HELP FOR ME TO INITIATE A "GROUP" ACTION TO GET EVERYONE PAID.

If anyone is willing to help, please post me the screensave.

    • Identical situation.

Contacted them a couple of times over the past 2 weeks and got the "you will be paid in the next batch of payments" response.

Sent them a message today asking when I would be credited the $75. They came back with a copy and paste job of the response above.

      Very disappointed.

    • I had the same feelings.

but thought that it wasn't worth severing the relationship.

Ing did give myself and my wife the $250 iconic vouchers. plus many $50 in the past.

    • +2

ING is dodgy, i am an existing customer and didn't receive the credit, the reason they provide was because the offer is for new customer ONLY, the exact opposite from your response. A shame how such a big bank play the game with their valuable customers.

  • -1

We were running a number of different promotions at the time you registered and you have registered for the wrong offer.

As a new customer, you were eligible to receive the bonus if you registered correctly as per the instructions you copied into your last message. However, you did not register for this new customer offer, instead you registered for our existing customer offer that was only open to certain eligible existing customers.

As we did not receive a valid registration for you, we are not able to pay the bonus, sorry.

Please let us know if we can help with anything else.

    Regards,

  • I'm more disappointed in the fact that ING never contacted people and made them wait over 8 weeks just to say 'no bonus for you'.

The amount of money and interest they would have received from the vast amounts of deposits and even the credit rating information is unacceptable.

  • Been watching the $1000.15 in my account everyday. It's not gone up by $75 yet :/

    • +1

i called them up last month and they told me they'll do a payment on nov 15th. so hopefully mine and yours is included. i'm an exiting customer only received my offer in Sep

  • Existing customer, no email, got $75 ytd.

  • Can confirm I have been finally credited with $75 (after 3 months and several emails to INGdirect).

    • Can you or anyone else possibly send me a copy of your email(s) that you sent to ING so that hopefully i can get the same result. thanks.

  • They said by the end of this month.
never had to wait this long in my life

  • Received $75 this morning.

  • Finally received the $75 last Friday after lots of back and forth. Can't say it was a good experience, but $75 is $75. The whole paypass rebate thing is awesome. I wish I had gotten in on it earlier with the 5%!
