Asus Transformer T100 Reduced to $508.30 - Includes Full Version of MS Office Home & Student

24

This JB sale actually ends today so act fast. Yes this has been cheaper previously and I would have purchased it then if I was in the market. There are other tablets that I would have preferred but for the price this is just the ticket for Uni :-)

I ended up doing a price match at Officeworks receipt which meant that I got it for $482.88 (see attached). Plus I got them to price match a BT mouse as well which reduced the mouse from $35 down to $31.36. I know that it is not even $2 on the mouse but I feel it is still in the vein of OzB!

Hope that this helps someone else.

Cheers, r3b3l66.

Just saw this much cheaper deal here - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/158140.

    :-)

    Props to matabuntu.

Not cheap at all, Officeworks would ordinarily price beat http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/astore/Asus-Transformer-… taking it down to $422.75.

    • I tried that at two of the three local Officeworks and the Manager at each would only match the local bricks and mortar stores if they had stock in. Given that the 4 local JBs only had two in stock across all of them I had to go with their price. You may have more flexible people in place at your O'works. Good Guys had already dropped their price to the JB Price.

Did you ask him to read their policy?

Edited due to the unnecessary and sarcastic rant aimed at jv.

          Sorry jv.

        "What about online stores?

Identical products are price matched against online stores but as with any other kind of store, the item must be currently in stock. When price matching online stores we also take into account the added cost of delivery. If the identical product can be purchased and delivered via an online store for a total price lower than the one we are offering, we will beat that total price by 5%."

A true OzBargainer would go back, get a refund and pay the correct amount ;-)

      • Beat me to it.

Which store is the sale at?

    • From StaticIce it appears the sale is at JB-Hifi.

    • Ummmm… I included the link directly to the tablet at JB HiFi as well as providing my receipt from O'works. I have also edited the post to include JB at the start.

      • Actually, I edited it after Yapapi found the link. I get emailed every time there is a deal not attached to a store. :(

        • Really? But i included the link when I first submitted it. What did I do wrong?

          @R3b3l66:
You paid too much is what you did wrong.

Yep. I got that loud and clear (and I am now really ticked off) but where did I go wrong in the actual submission of the deal?

        • @R3b3l66:

No big deal, I think you just didn't mention in your description and didn't set the store name when you uploaded the receipt.

        • Oh OK. Sorry. I will check closer next time.

  • It was $439 a couple of weeks back with free headphones… ($417.05 at OW with price beat)

  • Yeah, as I said in my post, it has been cheaper previously and if I had been in the market then I would have purchased one. I went looking on the weekend and this is what I found.

I guess you need to pay more to get it on the spot if you fall in love with the product when you touch it.

      • Are you referring to a person or a gadget ?

  • bad deal, i got mine $450 from DS 6 months ago

  • meegopad f10 has similar specs and good reviews for cheaper. If you aren't fussed about the brand, then I'd get that instead.

  • Not the best deal. Many sales have the T100 around $460 mark. Regular sales on eBay group deals.
