Im confused, What's the difference between straight edge and rounded edge.
Does one stick better than the other?
Straight and rounded refers purely to the edging of the glass. Imagining sharp straight edge vs rounded soft edge. Both do the same job but rounded feels thinner / less noticeable somehow.
My older phone had straight edge, I used to file my finger nails on it (bad habit I developed), can't do that on the rounded edge :)
do these things work? never used glass protectors for my phone before but I had one for my camera but that cracked within 2 months.
Totally worth it at this price considering top brands make it up to $50.
I have a $10 one from kogan for my n5.
Pros:
1) Actually works in preventing things from cracking the screen when something drops on it. And when it falls facedown.
2) You get the feel of glass so it doesn't feel plasticy of the plastic screen protectors.
3) Easy to wipe off fingerprints
4) A more permanent protector that doesn't peel off easily.
If your tempered glass shatters, it's easy to replace and cheaper than having your actual screen needing to be replaced.
They do protect the phone better, also great for Note phones with s-pen.

I always buy 2, if I mess up I have 1 on standby (hasn't happened after 3 installs yet), otherwise you have a spare in case one shatters.
Worth noting that these like a perfectly clean screen, no oil, no dust. Any of those things will limit its bond. I install mine in the bathroom (many reviews suggest this) where dust is much lower. I go one step further and install these on my new phone before I even turn it on, so it's on a virgin screen from the start.
I've used EXXY $$$$ Spigen brand (>$40) and cheap generic ($10) brand to the same effect. No need to overspend.
They also block less light than the plastic ones, meaning you get a better image.
But personally, I put mine on and accidentally dropped it face first on a tile floor straight after doing it. Broke the protector and my actual screen was fine - immediately ordered a new one after doing that.
It was a Z1 too, which have reports of being prone to cracking, so I'm very happy with it.
lol, these things are awesome! I tried stabbing with a pair of scissor on my Htc M8, it actually doesn't do any damage to the phone.
Beach sand is their Achilles heel, you'll notice none of the reviewers rub sand over them :)
But yeah, they're great I love them also.

Has anyone used a plastic one on top of a tempered glass screen?
I ask because I put a tempered glass screen on my xperia compact and I've scratched it more in 2 weeks than I have ever scratched a phone with just a plastic cheapy on it.
Friend has one due to a skin having the plastic protector on it too.
Response is a bit less responsive and the screen seems a bit more bland but maybe that's just her s4 lol
