    Shake weight is a joke
I've been training this movement up to 4 times a day since I was 13 and I have only put on weight.

      4 times a day?? I salute you!

Maybe your range of motion is too short.

    • maybe tanabe88gg only turned 13 a month ago…

    • Maybe those gainz were muscle mass ;)

Jerking a pole will only burn so much calories - not enough to sustain or lose any weight.
My girlfriend is living proof of that.

You need to move your entire body to burn any decent amount of calories.
When it comes to muscle building, you need to either do reasonably heavy weight / high number of repetitions to tear the muscle (if you're eating correctly, this will repair into bigger, stronger muscles).

  • Is the shake weight offered with variable weights?
I would like to see at least a 50kg shake weight dumbbell so I can maximize the amount of 'dynamic inertia' I can utilize. Can't wait to bench press with it.

  • Good price for the Balance WPI. How does it taste with just water out of curiosity?

It's terrible , difficult to mix too - you'll need flavor and emulsifier for sure

      • What flavour do you recommend.. "LeChocolateMan"?
I wonder who you're associated with!

  • Admittedly a very good price. I have taken protein powders for a while, however, one of the things I look for now is the type of artificial sweetener in these protein powders. Generally, it should be OK, however, just FYI, this one contains Sucralose, Acesulfame K (Potassium). They are both approved, however, there are some studies which are a bit inconclusive (particularly re Acesulfame K). I have stopped taking protein powders with these ingredients just as a precaution although most people say (probably rightfully so) that the quantity is probably too low to really affect you. In any case, I encourage people to do their own research on this and make their own decisions (note, you generally will be taking quite a bit each day). On the flipside, protein powders without strong artificial sweeteners generally taste pretty darn bad… General Wiki links are below:

  • 3kg of WPI from Venom is $84 delivered if you use code XAN1543 ($20 off). That's $15 cheaper than this deal with P&H included.

On the other hand :P the shake weight is a worthy investment!

    • hey I tried that coupon and it didn't work.. am I missing something?

      • Woops XAN3543 :)

    • You'd be better off doing sets of push-ups, pull-ups and burpees and that's all free!
