Hi folks - long time listener, first time caller here.

Whilst looking around for a charcoal BBQ, and smoker I came across this deal. This is a basic charcoal BBQ grill, with a smoker attachment on the side. Reading some reviews it seems pretty decent as a beginner setup, and at this price you probably cant go wrong!

I picked one up from Anaconda in South Wharf DFO and I believe there are still plenty

          i realise that, i was simply asking if this was on ebay (ive no idea if anaconda have an ebay store but many other places do) but with the $60 shipping its probably still worth picking up if you can, tho it sounds like a lot of places have sold out already anyway so back to my original question mainly for the benefit of others caus i have already picked mine up….

      $55 at logan, sorry to the other folk that missed out. though I'm sure someone would've got the display and maybe $10 off to boot? picked up a bag of lump charcoal at the checkout along with a sprayjacket and pair of sunnies which I got 25% off, solid deal all round.

      any suggestions on where to from here? read a bit on the products website earlier, looks some good info.

      Use regular BBQ briquette fuel. For the wood smoker attachment you can buy hickory and other wood at any BBQ shop. Bunnings sells it too.

      Buy charcoal, not from bunnings. Look around for a firewood seller, fuel merchant or even try Gumtree for someone selling it privately.

    This looks very similar to the char grill BBQ I purchased from Bunnings earlier this year for $169, and that didn't have the side smoker attachment. For $55, assuming this hardware is decent, it's an absolute steal.

      Bunnings can special order the side smoker if you want it… Though from memory it costs more than this entire deal.

        Had a look at my local Anaconda shop in Noarlunga SA. $199 ticketed price. The thing is tiny, with the smoker almost disproportional in size to the BBQ. My $169 Char griller from Bunnings is probably 4 times the volume.

          erm… huh? do you even understand how an offset smoker is used? i have been smoking in an electric smoker for a year or so now and dont think there is anything ive done in the electric that i couldnt do in the offset. sure i couldnt fit a whole 100kg pig in it….. but when do you ever actually cook a whole pig? not to mention that if its bigger you need to use/waste more charcoal if your only smoking something less than a full pig.

          this smoker is far from perfect, but for $55 its well worth the dosh. i cant see me having any issues smoking a whole leg of pulled pork in this thing

      mines setup and just some pine burning in it at the moment to get rid of the china smell which is the same as i did with my electric smoker. probably fire it up 2morrow for dinner, pork or goat decisions decisions.

    Just picked mine up from Innaloo WA. Were only 3 left and when I got there, the other 2 were on hold for some other people. Joondalup also had a few but not sure how many are left. None in Cannington. Also, discount does not apply to this.

    Just picked up two from Ashmore on the Gold Coast - They had 2 more left plus one on display….The bloke on the phone told me they were $55 and no further discount, but as I had my $110 in folding at the cash register, the lovely young lass discounted the Fathers Day 25% - Whooshka - 2 x BBQ's for $82.50.
    Keep an eye out for me next year at the [National BBQ championships in Port Macquarie] (http://www.bluesandbbq.com.au/bbq-championships-2/) - I'll be the bloke with the two smallest offset smokers, heaps of left over meat and a pile of cans next to my tent!

    the one main thing it does that other cheap ones dont is it beeps at you when ever it looses wireless contact for a while (30 seconds or a minute or something) and when its out of contact with the transmitter it shows no temp at all. the other one similar to this bunnings one not only wont warn you when its out of range but it keeps its last temp on the screen so you have no idea its lost contact with the transmitter and you think it still needs more cooking and end up with overcooked meat. (yes, i bought one…. yes, i made that mistake)

        from where mine was last nite through 4 brick walls is maybe ~20m and working fine. friend has one the same (hes the one that put me onto them) and i think he got around 100m in open air with his. they are 433mhz so much better than computer wifi (2.4 and/or 5ghz) at getting through solid objects.

        but like i said above if it does get out of range it tells you at least

    I went into the Joondalup store on 28/08/2014 and they ordered me one on a rain cheque. Later that day they called me and said they actually could not get any.
