    Are these good for removing from the enclosure for use in most laptops? That is, not too difficult to extract without damage, SATA interface, not too thick, etc.?

      I've done it with the 2tb one. This one should be the same. Just use a credit card to push the metal casing's tabs off and take off the sata-usb board off the drive.

    This is the best price to date delivered for this highly recommended compact drive. Back up PC and Mac without re-formatting. Got a red one because it might go a bit faster :-) This probably will get Ozbargained. Thanks OP.

    Is this OS stock as it only has 1 year warranty compared to 3 yrs for the ones sold locally?/

      Checked OW, TGG, DSE and BingLee.. All provide a 3year manufacturer warranty so this def is not local stock..

        They do have the 3 year warranty we listed incorrectly. i am updating the details now.

        It is Australian stock and on the box says

        "3 years limited warranty and a link to www.seagate.com/retailwarranty "

      Wow! Your quick off the mark. That's a great price you got. Also see you grabbed two ( probably the max allowed in one transaction ), make a great gift. If your driving especially some distance to OW to get this, you need to consider fuel, otherwise great, get it same day too.

          I don't blame you guys at all for grabbing them at a convenient OW. This price is fantastic and as I thought would not last long. So whether you grabbed one from Digitalstrar for 69.95 delivered or OW for $66.45 picked up, both got great deals. Both are local stock with 3 yrs. warranty.

    Hi Rep,

    I've tried to checkout on both Chrome and IE several times and each time it empties my Cart and sends me to the homepage. Same deal when clicking the Log In link.

    Was able to get through on my phone, but after being sent back to the site from PayPal the review page was blank.

    Glad to see other people haven't had this issue but I guess I'll have to pass. Good deal bar my technical issues though!
