Upto 10k Membership Rewards Bonus Points

    Worth Upto $74

      Or 3% off … I'm excited

  • You'd have to spend $2000 to get 10,000 points. If you value them at 0.74c per point, then yes it's worth $74 which is a 3.7% cashback.

Otherwise.. if you value it at 2c, it's worth $200, so 10% cashback

Comes down to how you want to redeem your points?

    • Otherwise.. if you value it at 2c

How can you redeem AMEX points at 2c ???

My ANZ amex card accrues qantas frequent flyer points.. bank issued cards are included in this offer

        • +1

So you are referring to Qantas FF points.

I'm referring to AMEX Rewards Points…

        • @isdnman:

          I enrolled and it didn't state I wasn't eligible?

Oh well.. will have to see..

by transferring them to loyalty points (frequent flyers or hotels etc)

I'm looking to book singapore airlines return perth to europe for 144500 points (+$996 taxes).

These flights are $8,696 retail. Take the $996 off you need to pay for taxes, those 144500 points are saving $7700 off the cost of these flights.

That's just over 5c per point.

Of course, I wouldn't spend $8,696 on the flight, but I do value these points above 2c each.

    Just buy 4 monster cables.

    • i think they forgot to add Monster as one of the excluded brands

    • Really? HDMI cables as digital aren't affected by quality as it's just zeros and ones. To the human eye the difference in picture and sound quality is imperceptible on a crappy Chinese made $10 5m cable, versus a 24k gold plated hand made German $300 1m cable.

      Massive waste of money.

      • +1

dont say this infront of Gerry Harvey

        • Well to be fair they all do it. Some even charge $500 for cables. Think that was online and in some really sleazy American retail stores. Might have been a package thing. Some people are so gullible and don't question the absurdity of prices, especially when it comes to something esoteric like tech.

I registered my Qantas Discovery AMex which enrolled in QFF rewards, and received confirmation letter. Wonder if they will credit 10k QFF points in my account for spending $2k?

    • its listed under exclusion

      • But still received confirmation email, which I thought won't be sent.

  • Man I wish they didn't exclude gift cards on all these types of spending deals!
