      HURRAY!!

  • Perfect. Was looking for a pair of headphones for my nephew present !

  • looking for good noise isolation headphones.. good to block noises totally if flying and otherwise..

    any recommendations from the above lot ?

    • +5

      I held out for ages, tried many different ones, and eventually went for the QC20…they're pricey, but nothing else I had even came close. I was sceptical for ages, but was blown away by the comfort and noise canceling.
      Not on sale at the moment, but DJ'S often have 20% off them bringing them down to $330.

    • +2

      If you're looking for noise isolation, any pair of IEMs would be better then headphones, and probably cheaper than these. However, if you're like me and dislike IEMs, get the BOSE QC15. These are ANC headphones and apparently the best out there in terms of cancellation, provided you don't care too much about SQ.

      • +1

        The QC15 is not for sale though.

        • +6

          I never said to buy it now… i merely stated facts, just like how Bomber_bloke suggested the QC20…

          Can someone explain why i was negg'd?

        • +5

          @ProjectZero:

          probably someone who is a bit too neg happy….have a + from me to help cancel it out

        • +1

          @ProjectZero: Possibly because the question was:

          any recommendations from the above lot ?

          And your answer was:

          … get the BOSE QC15.

          Then were disappointed the QC15 were actually not on sale.

          Edit: Forgot to mention Bomber_bloke did mention the QC20 were not on sale.

      • I helped cancelling out another neg for you. :)

        cheers! share the same opinion abt QC15 myself..

        • -1

          Cheers guys, just curious about it was all. I thought the whole point of a forum was to share experiences/opinion yet was negg'd for it lol.

          Lol i agreed i deserved that last one

        Apparently they QC20s are now the best ANCs available. I just used a set for a trip to Germany, and they were fantastic with regards to ACN, but I was disappointed in their ability to produce sound. Not so much the quality, but the levels. I was amazed at how much I had to raise the volume level compared to my Jabra C820 ACNs. They also were a little lacking in bass. I am tried them based on their 21 day trial policy, but I can’t see them being worth the extra over my Jabras, so I am returning them. A pity, as I did far prefer the in-ear comfort and freedom instead of the over ear/head style, and the massive reduction in space they take up.

        • +3

          I really love my QC20's in terms of ANC. Whilst half my flight had the older on-ear QC15's/QC3, I loved not having a bulky carrying pouch/case yet able to enjoy easy listening. Better yet, they're easy to take on/off when you just need to speak to someone.

        • +2

          @jace88:

          Yes, that was easier too, as was just leaving them in your ears and walking around and not looking like a complete dick. Being able to store them next to you, I did part of the trip with one in the ear that was not resting on the pillow while sleeping and swapped when I rolled over; so many advantages compared to the over ear ones. I wish they had more impact from the sound production though.

          Buy Other Sound Equipment

          At 50% off, they're at their natural price. Still, I'd avoid the koolaid and go for decent gear. It should never be surprise BOSE doesn't live-up to their claims/suggestions they can beat science.

        • +1

          @Utopian:

          Very original, and also wrong. When it comes to ANCs, it is universally agreed that BOSE are the best. So it comes down to priorities, if you want the best sound, or the best noise cancelling. Those of us talking about ANC want the best noise cancelling. I agree that the QC20s are the best I have tried, but they are not so much better the then set of ACNs I already own that I am prepared to spend money I don’t need to. If I didn’t already own a set of ANCs, then I would keep the QC20s and be very happy. When my current set die, I will get QC20s or whatever is the current version.
          When it comes to home theatre equipment, yes, stay away from BOSE unless nothing else can offer the convince of the sizing.

  • When are you going to post the orders from the last 50% off Bose Headphones deal?

    • Got mine from the last deal two weeks ago.

      • the invoice says expected delivery 8th Sep for the one I bought just now

  • can these be returned back to store if used and don't like it?

    • if used? not sure but if unopened then yes

      • Doubtful, you have to destroy the inner plastic packaging in order to get to the headphones.

    • Would you buy a second hand headphones? If the answer is no, then most likely not.

      The lady on the phone said DSE have no stock on their system (all stock from DSE) at the moment and cannot hold me order for 2-3 weeks long. Waiting for the last hope luck.

  • Anything with noise cancelling? My wife borrowed my panasonic rp-hc55 for a Europe flight and was blown away with how good the noise cancelling worked. She wants her own set now but I can't find any panasonic rp-hc55 available so trying to find an alternative.
