Just bought this at OW yesterday.

  • Only a printer, no photostat function?

    • That's on the 1900 model, when that term was invented.

      • Gestetner or Roneo?

  • And does that mean you have to buy the toner cartridge separately? (Sorry for the silly question, i have never owned a laser printer before)

    • No. It comes with a cartridge installed. Not sure for how long it will last though.
But from the description from OW above:

Approximate starter page yield 1000 pages

    • Refilling is very cheap. You could probably DIY.

  • the brother you mentioned in the OP is manual duplex

interesting that after almost a year later it's still the same discounted price

  • I think this is just the normal price, I bought one about month ago. Still good value though, 30ppm, wifi, and duplex printing

  • I bought one 6 months ago. quite good although the network port died so it's running on wifi. It only uses generic drivers for windows 8. I buy toner online as it's half the cost of officeworks.

    • Google "Warranty" :p

  • It's the normal price. Got one a few months ago like these guys. Printed over a few hundred pages of lecture slides and it's still going.

  • These are great printers but watch out for the drivers, I have found a lot of difficult with Fuji print drivers - i.e. will say it's offline etc. will then have to restart, etc.

  • Whats the most reliable and cheapest toner for this printer? Theres some pretty cheap ones on ebay (even around $10) but it would be from china and questionable reliability..

  • oops double post

  • It's been the standard price for this printer for a while.
I don't think it went up from $79 after the previous deal.

  • I saw this printer marked down to $30something at Officeworks Woolloongabba last week.

    • That would have been worth posting.

      • Woolloongabba sounds like a backwater place for rednecks. He probably didn't want people to know he was from there.

  • Been this price for ages. Was posted already too.

They have color version for $159 (it is the same size printer, not larger).

  • Gone now, it's back to $99. Just when I needed one. Any locations still selling it for $79?
