I'm not quite sure one is needed for Aldi, but +1 for the effort none the less ;)

      Wow, I just got jv'd.

      Gotta love OzBargain :)

They all look like Aldi's normal prices for these…

At least with the Coles and Woolies catalogues, we know what the savings are…

I think you will find that Aldi does some kind of one off bulk purchase of these items and once sold you won't see them again until their next bulk buy which could be next season. For this reason they can't advertise a saving as the product needs to be available at the price that the saving is claiming to be off for a certain period.
I think in these cases defining a bargain requires a little comparative work to other brands with similar specs.

Are you insinuating that these are all bargains? What products are your comparing them to? Some appear to be cheap (and possibly inferior) alternatives to the tried and tested brand name products that are known to work reliably. Seems like an ad.

  • Thanks :)

  • Thanks op :-)

I'm actually in the market for a staple gun! Thanks OP.

Their Metal Care Paint (1LT $9.99) is one of the best you will ever use and a lot cheaper than hardware store metal paint.

    • IIRC it was $7.99 last time around

  • How are Aldi's support rods?

    Push mowers? In 2014?

I'm going to buy one for my wifes birthday.

It's a reel mower, very different from a regular lawn mower. Gives a different result. Lawn mowers tear/rip the tips off the grass with a slashing motion, reel mowers (also called cylinder mowers) cut grass like a scissor. Therefore, they don't generally need the speed that a petrol/electric/battery lawn mower needs. This one doesn't use any fuel. If you set the height too low on a hand push reel mower, it can be extremely tough going. You can get "proper" petrol powered ones (but they tend to be more expensive).
      eg.

      • Reading that made me want to buy one from being totally disinterested. Thanks a lot.

  • Thanks

Any comments/experience on the "PETROL LAWN EDGER 97CC" ?

  • Anyone recommend the pressure cleaner? Been in the market for one for a while now.
Last time it was advertised I walked into the store and they told me it was reverted and wasn't on sale. Hopefully it will be there this time.

Also considering the table saw…I think it will be a productive DIY summer for me!
