They had this price error many times before but I couldn't add the item to cart and place order before. I am able to order it successfully this time.

      I understand but unfortunately there is no loot category in OZB :)

      And if this is the first time Dicksmith has this pricing error I would agree I am looting them. But this is the 4th time I am seeing this product listed at $0.01. So I am just exploiting their stupidity. Moreover Dicksmith is protected by their terms & conditions and need not honor my order. I am the one taking risk here by letting Dicksmith hold my $5 for 2-3 weeks if the order is cancelled.

      Not sure how these things are made nowadays, but in cheaper RCs you used to be able to simply pull out the crystals and change them to another frequency crystal. I used to swap them with an old handheld 3 channel 27Mhz radio!

        thanks for the suggestion though… it would mean I would need to get a pair and replace the one in the remote as well I guess, doesn't sound overly simple though…

          If it works on the simple plug in crystals, you should be able to just get something like this from Jaycar!
          Unfortunately I don't have the car and/or remote to check if it's that simple. But it's just a matter of unscrewing them, pull the crystal out of it's holder, insert the new pair (TX in remote / RX in car), and screw it back together!

    2 x of the 4 i ordered arrived today! I ordered them to race with the kids…but both that arrived today are 27mhz. If the other 2x arrive and are also 27mhz ill be gifting them to family kids for xmas…
