SOLD OUT

First time poster here.

This deal is under the tech 25% clearance. so it will still show 350$ in the page. But once you added the item into your cart (and entered your postcode), a further 25% discount is added.

In my case it says 270.57 including shipping.

Next cheapest option is eBay which is around the 350$ mark.

They are brilliant headphones. I had them briefly to review and fell in love two years ago: http://ausdroid.net/2012/08/08/parrot-zik-headphones-review/ been looking for a pair ever since, at the right price. This is the right price, but…there is a new model coming, so you may find them for cheaper soon.

Either way, they are GREAT headphones, simply amazing.

      • That is an excellent review. :)

Any info on the new model? Google fails me

      • I second ssjgesus's comment - do you have a link to new model by any chance?

        • Not yet, but rest assured as soon as I get any info it will be up on Ausdroid.

          @lf123:

i would but im at 999 posts and what my 1000 post to be epic :o

can you add it to your post

    • Just got another one, i DONT know why

      • remove the border on one side and join the two together to get 120" screen? :)

edit: aha, why not! me too! :)

i guess i can leave one in the bedroom and one upstairs, and then only have to move the projector if i want to watch upstairs! :)

    • cheers, bought one too!

just measured up my current "screen" (bedroom wall), and it's a bit bigger than 60"…but hopefully the image quality gain will be enough to justify the loss of screen size (would have preferred the 70" version!)

but at $15, worst comes to worst, i can buy a bigger one, and this could be a portable back-up or something!

      I put this as a separate deal @ https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/160876

For the benefit of other ozbargainers. =)

  • Darn it - just paid $350 for these from COD last month. Top headphones though - their noise-cutting ability is amazing.

  • Extremely tempted to buy these, it would be a nice upgrade to my Klipsch x10i, however, the short battery because of lack of bluetooth 4.0 really bothers me, can I use them as wired headphones? But my current earphones work fine and still sound great to me, I'm torn on whether to buy these now.

    • Yeah you can. You can use them wired even when the battery is dead but apparently it's not as good as when the headphones are active and wired. Also, relatively, the bluetooth isn't as good as active wired. I'm still on the fence about buying these.

    • Was ready to buy but then saw three REALLY annoying things:

      1) Unless you use bluetooth, you can't control your device - i.e. connect it with a cable and you can no longer pause/change volume etc.

      2) Have to charge the battery in the headphones so you might look a bit awkward on the plane with micro usb cable running out of your ear.

      3) Have to buy a travel case and spare battery - and these are expensive as (battery is $40 and case is incredible $75 on ebay).

      http://www.engadget.com/2012/08/02/parrot-zik-by-starck-revi…

Bose QC25, even though not bluetooth, don't have these issues and claim to offer 35 hours off a AAA battery (eneloop anyone). I know it's not apples with apples, but at least running a cable to your phone doesn't drain the battery as much as bluetooth connection (yes, I'm a disgruntled iPhone owner aka wall hugger).

Thanks for this, ordered on impulse, can't wait to try them out! Almost 50% RRP, bargain :)

  • Amazing deal, great headphones although fairly heavy.
    Way below retailer's cost price.

  • Ugh, can't say no.

  • Can confirm these are great sounding headphones and no issues with battery life. Lasted 24hr flight to Europe no problems. Did use them wired though. Just bought another as a family 21st present for my FIFO nephew. Thanks OP.

AHHHHHHHHH Stupid Cotd won't refund me……. I'll give a quick call out to anyone who would like to buy it before i put up a fight against this as their site initially said my payment didn't go through… so I tried again. Ideally I would like to sell it locally (Brisbane Metro) for cash exchange but could look into delivery if it is worth the effort.. Better be quick I'm super pissed and want to give them a beating!

P.S. anyone know what can I do to get my money back??

        • Credit card price protection?

  • damn missed out..was so tempted to buy them..bought the gold edition from amazon.de for 355AUD shipped.

How much for a pair of lossy Bluetooth 2.1 cans with no APT-X?? And I thought Beats were overpriced!

  • Anyone have an extra pair?

    • yep

      • cannot pm you as account is new but I am interested.

  • Snapped one pair from spc12go over the weekend. And been using it in the last two days.

I have to say, design wise this is such an art piece packed with all useful functions.

the touch panel on the right is responsive and accurate. Well designed. the whole section is the sensor so it never miss a bit.

wearing is comfortable and not heavy at all. wide range adjustment to ensure the fit.

The most beautiful thing is the ios and andriod software. Last night, I set the EQ to be vocal, and played my current favourite song. And I tried the 4 scene setup with different angles from silent room, living room, club and concert hall. It really sounds like I had the singer in my bedroom next to me; in the living room or karaoke room; in a local club; in a concert. So dont forget to try this out.

    Overall, loving it so much.

The only thing now is need to get a hard case to keep it protected :)
