Decent Price. Used to own these but found them too bassy and muddy for my taste. Cables also gave up after a year and a half, but had them returned to dick smith without a problem.

    • I use them a lot and despite being careful with them, the cables only last about 7-8 months for me. Like you said however, Dick Smith have been replacing them as they break, and I have a few months warranty left.

      • My one died in about a year and a half as well (2 days ago).

  • The CX-270's are $19 + p&p at Catch of the day currently, not sure how they compare.

  • $26.95 delivered at ebay..same ones?

    • There seem to always be a lot of well made fakes floating around eBay around that price range. Though these might be the real deal, I'd be hesitant to purchase at the sort of price which seems "too good to be true", as JB and DSE seems to sell these at around $70-100 normally.

Also, some of the seller's feedback is negative, claiming that they weren't selling genuine products, so I'd be even more cautious.

This guide might give you an idea about the fakes:

To be honest, the main reason I buy these earphones is for the 2 year warranty - which the cheaper ones usually don't have anyway. I really like getting it replaced in store when they stop working, rather than having to buy another pair. Added with the risk of fakes, it doesn't seem worth it to me.
