Rough couple of reviews out of the gate.

    • Please note that these reviews are for a different product - the Hoover 7010 Powerhead model.

You're correct. That said I'm assuming that apart from the power head NOT being included the gist of the reviews would be the same, as they're the same vacuum otherwise (one has powerhead the other doesn't?)

FWIW there are actually some pretty decent reviews on the 2nd page of a google search so if one were in the market for a vacuum it might be worth looking over a range of feedback before making a snap decision.

Thankfully for me my Nilfisk King is still going strong after a decade or so.

        • +1 for the Nilfisk King!

Didn't want to fall for the whole 'bagless' thing back in the late 90s and went for the Nilfisk King instead. 15 years later and it still sucks big time :p Seriously though, it's still looks and works like it did the day we unpacked it! That and my 13-14 year old TOTL ASKO appliances I went into major debt to get have turned out to be the best investments ever.

Thanks Nikko. Reviews look pretty bad; best to avoid.

  • I can't see a mention of the free carpet shampooer online?

    • Hi there,
There is more detail on the product page itself, to claim the deal simply add the Hoover to your cart and the shampooer will appear automatically.
      Hope this helps!

Don't mistake the Godfrey's "Hoover" for the US/UK "Hoover". It's pretty much Godfrey's home brand of vacuum cleaners. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hoover_Company#Hoover_in_Au…

I own the Hoover Vogue 5015PH .. Without the powerhead ON the suction is pretty weak it struggles to clean anything off the carpet. With the powerhead ON it is however quite effective at cleaning dirt, dust & hair. My gripe with the machine: Small canister, weak cleaning suction without powerhead on, the need to cut the accumulated tangled hair on the powerhead brush, very plasticy build, found it to be an overpriced buy even at a negotiated $399 (normally $499). This was a regrettable purchase.

Difference between the Dysons, Miele & this Hoover…. dyson & miele have quite powerful suction for cleaning the carpet without the need for a powerhead.

I would very much question the cleaning factor of this Hoover Prestige 7010, without that powerhead!

  • The cheapest vacuum cleaner I ever got was a Dyson. It outlasted 5x $100-$200 cleaners that I use to get in the past and is still as good as new…

I was one of the unlucky few who bought this model and this one has been for repairs twice in a year. Never been so dissappointed with a Hoover. I would never again buy a hoover.

  • Never going back to godfreys
Reluctantly Bought run out sharp vaccum at a discounted price as the sales rep said all good good things about it and said trust me I would not think twice to buy this

Repenting worst machine ever probably. 40 doolar bought from a Chinese shop would be a better machine

godfreys successfully ripped of my hard earned dollars from me :(

  • Godphreys are total bullshitters
