  I've seen 1TB Seagate portable HDDs going for a little over $60 a couple of times in the last few weeks, so the 750GB here isn't much of a deal. A quick Static Ice search for "1TB portable" brings up a bunch around $70.

      answer is/ can be both.

      main power with dual usb one for power another one into PC. (buy separately)

      or

      powered and transfer through one cable (99%), old dodgy PC might not transfer data well due to bad power supply (1%) for current technology level.
