If you want to pick-up in store, go through Dick Smith's normal website (not Ebay), and choose click-and-collect ($29.98). Back to normal price ($49.98) 4/10/14, but Ebay price is still good.

Seems to be an average STB at a good price. I have been looking for one recently, it's normally hard to find them for less than $50, and they are not as easy to find as they were a couple of years ago. Supplies may be drying up, now that analog TVs are becoming uncommon.

I bought one for the occasions when there are two or three good movies on at the same time, on different channels. I want to watch one, and time-shift the others.

  Curious to know if there is a waiting period to pick and collect from the shop? Do I simply purchase the item online and go to the store straight away to pick it up? Or do I have to wait a day or two (for them to process) to notify me to pick up (like Target does)? Thanks guys.

    I ordered this morning for pick up, and about 15 minutes later received an SMS saying ready for pick-up. I suppose it depends on how busy your local store is, somebody has to go and grab it off the shelf and then update their computer system.

    When ordering, it says to allow 24 hours for the reply, if no reply contact the store directly.

    When I did a Kindle and portable speakers it showed the stock in nearby stores, so chose the one in city that had them both. Turns out when I got there the system was wrong and they had to get the speakers from a nearby store for me, so normally would have been pickup that day or next but was 2 days.

  For this to be used, don't forget you'll also need a HDMI cable and an antenna cable. Maybe a power board too. Most people* don't have all of these lying around, so you'll probably need to order some. Dick smith probably doesn't have the best prices on these items, so shop around.

  You may also need an antenna splitter if you want to keep the set-top box powered off (i.e. power point turned off), and still watch TV. In my experience, the antenna output port on set-top boxes usually doesn't work when the device is unpowered.

  *Professional OzBargainers probably have several HDMI cables still in their bags.

  Picked mine up today im happy for the money. Only single tuner of course cant record one show while watching another.The recording chews up space quickly but 32 gig usb or hard drive is good. Only thing i dont like is epg only shows 1 channel at time but for $30 its good.
