  • Weather wise - June & July is summer in Philippines. Depending on where you go, it can be very humid.

      head for the hills

      • I did a trip to Baguio last time I was in the Philippines. It's a nice place for golf, horse riding, fine dining, etc. Worth spending a few days to break up a trip.

    June-Sept is rainy season actually

  • That too.

  • Cheap but almost 1 year away

Waiting for Cebu pacific to come from Melbourne directly.
    Any idea guys?

    • +2

Waiting for a long time. If ever. It looks like their Sydney routes are struggling without the promotions.

      • Hhmmm.
They could do a mel-syd-mla route.
        Are the syd-mla direct flights?

        • yes, I believe they are direct flights

  • Does anyone no Australia's contact number for Cebu? It's not highlighted on the website and I can't find it anywhere else

Damn that's good, just pray it doesn't rain every day though

Who can tell me what I can do in Manila?

    • +2

It's what you can do out of Manila! World class beaches, snorkelling and diving. You can choose to fly to around the country (Cebu, Dumagette, Bohol) or go on road trip to places just a couple of hours away like Anilao and Puerto Galera. Top UNESCO heritage site at Banaue and Batad , Caving and cultural immersion with the Sagada mountain tribes - land travel only. Palawan, El Dino …. Too much to do, too little time! I am going to swim with the whalesharks in cebu :-DDD

Here's a few highlights of what to see and do there. We love going there.

Its more fun in the Philippines!

And as others have previously mentioned, everything's a bargain there!

Good find OP…just be careful that there is also $90.25 in fees charged each way as well!

    • +1

I just booked , there is only $8 booking fee .

    • +1

only get all those fees if you dont figure out how to take the extras off…… like most budget carriers have every extra by default and make it hard for the unfamiliar to uncheck them. I paid $143 total yet again ($8 booking included)

Booked to Nagoya this time, thanks. :)

UMM THIS COULD BE QUITE A DEAL!!!! if you use Manila as a stop over (that is book a return from Manila to desired destination) then it could be bloody cheap!!! Eg Manila- London for $1100 flying ETIHAD so all up would be $1243 Not bad…that was just a quick seach for a random date so if u do a bit of research then u might find urself a bargain!

I was there in July and the weather was beautiful. It will rain for about an hour or so a day then the rest of the day is quite nice and cool. I really don't like Manila so I head to Cebu. Go oslob and swim with the whale sharks. We stayed at Marco polo hotel which was gorgeous. We also stayed near Ayala shopping centre…..watched a movie everyday for $5, ate very well there too…you can eat lunch and dinner at Ayala terraces everyday for 3 weeks and still not tried all the restaurants…lots of choices. Beer is cheaper than a can of soft drink…..it's about 50-80c. Pack of cigarettes is about $2. My son enjoyed playing at Timezone where the games are like 25c - 50c. Travel out of Manila and you will enjoy it more. Chicken adobo on the flight is yummy!!!
