iPhone 6 from Kogan

I just want to ask if someone already received their iPhone 6 from Kogan during the $100 off from eBay? I purchased mine on 14th of September but I've been waiting for a while now.

I was just about to say that Kogan would cover the warranty under Australian Consumer Law, but I am reading that you actually buy from a Hong Kong based subsidiary when you are buying from them.

Dodgy as. Run far away and buy from an Australian based business so your consumer rights are useful.

Any iPhone will get warranty from Apple but only for 12 months.

  • I'm sorry OP. With all the times kogan have screwed me over with late deliveries, incorrect descriptions and rejected warranty claims. The best advice I can give to you is, don't hold your breath.

    • I bought a LG G2 and got it within 1 week, bought other small items from them, I think one of it is defective, if not wrong is a heart beat monitor, email them and the rep responded within the day, send an email showing it is not working and get sent a replacement within 1 week. I would suggest that OP contact the rep and find out exactly what happens, they may have sent it and got lost somewhere.

  • a couple of weeks is nothing. You can start with an email to them enquiring as to whats happening.

I got my delivery email yesterday. Tracking has it in Brisbane. So expecting it soon!

  • I ordered an iPhone 5s from Kogan about 3 months ago, and it took approximately 3 weeks to be delivered. But for the good price, it was worth the wait.

My 2c worth: For me, Kogan have been fantastic, on both occasions I purchased from them. I bought a very expensive phone a year ago from them. 5 weeks later, I dropped it in the ocean (kids.. don't ask), so it was fried - dead. I asked them if stupidity and salt water immersion were covered under warranty (expecting a flat refusal of course). They said no, but here's a brand new one anyway - no questions asked, delivered in 5 days! Then I bought an espresso machine - the machine broke (from me packing too much coffee into it). I told them the story - they paid for the freight back, AND refunded my money for the machine. Comparing that to the headaches I've had with actual local retailers here and their reluctance to facilitate warranty claims against their products, I'd go with Kogan again in a second.
