    I live on the gold coast and unless your up for a wild weekend away with mates, I wouldn't advise surfers. Down the coast is a lot nicer and more relaxed.

    Depends what your after I suppose.

      I dunno, my kids love it there at Xmas. Short trip to the theme parks, nice restaurants and entertainment venues for wife and I and the beach and shops.

      Id have to agree. Unless you want sex, drugs, kebabs and topless barmaids its probably much more family friendly further down. And less crowded beaches too.

      But if youre there for a bucks night…. That be a different story.

      I stay at Surfers every year for about 2 weeks. We stay at Q1 and have young kids so we don't go out in town late at night and just go to the market each night it is on. I don't have much of an issue but maybe because we are home each night

      I am on the coast as well and Surfers is where its at. If you are heading here for a holiday you should stay in surfers.

      They will just jump on the tram and they are in surfers anyway :)

      we are in surfers a lot at night with our son and been doing it for years and never had problems

    I have stated at both circle on cavill and chevron. Both had inadequate soundproofing. I could hear everything Even from 30+ floors up. Never again.

    I live on the coast and would recommend Broadbeach over Surfers if you want to be near the action, especially if you have a family. It's much cleaner and less touristy, plus the beach out front is less hectic and there's a massive playground.
