Haha, I used this last night to order a bunch of shoes. I considered posting it here, but then didn't, like a bum. I've never used Eastbay before, but after blowing out my cross trainers at cricket training yesterday I had little choice. A quick google showed these guys to be cheap, reliable and with good stock. There's a bunch of posts on OzB about them which convinced me to take the plunge. www.eastbay.com/coupons is probably worth bookmarking.

Anyway, the 20% will practically negate the cost of postage on most orders I'd imagine. We bought four pairs of shoes last night (some MVP baseball shoes, as they're perfect for cricket training and indoor cricket, a pair of Monarchs as they looked super comfy for walking around, a pair of Adidas samoas and a pair of puma retros), and it came to $250ish or so, delivery included. I've already got a tracking email and delivery is expected to be either on Friday or Monday, so I'm pretty happy with that if they show up around then.

    Bought there before, happy.

  • Thanks for the head's-up, OP. These guys are a life saver for us big feet people (size 15/16 depending on brand).

FWIW, my experience with these guys has been flawless. Less than half price compared to AU prices (including postage), they are quick and responsive to e-mails when needed. Would definitely recommend using them to anyone.

  • great bargains. used 20% two weeks ago. Tried on Nike hyperdunks at athlete's foot, which were $199. Nike Veloce boots were $179 at rebel. I did decide to buy the 2013 versions to save a bit more, but 2014 were still much cheaper than Aus (2013 vs 2014. same s#$t with minor differences anyway)

I bought both for around $190 shipped to AUs. Ordered on a Thurs and they arrived the following Monday. Very Happy! Feel sorry for the guy at athelete's foot that sized me up and everything though!

  • This is cool I ordered some Nike Romaleos. They have sizes and colors not available in Australia and for about 40 dollars cheaper.

  • +3

About a year ago eastbay jacked up there shipping prices to Australia. Not as worth it anymore with the Australian tax.

    • True, but still much cheaper than the Australian rip off prices!!!

      • Not always mate, was about to get some Nike sky hi for a b'day present there 169 posted (no coupon)

Can be bought in most Aussie shops such as footlocker & platypus shoes for 159.

I'd rather buy from oz & have peace at mind if I need to return & I don't have to wait for it to arrive in the mail,

To save 20bux not worth it in my eyes.

East bay was much better few years ago

        • +1

Everything was better a few years ago mate, plus if you use the coupon and don't buy FULL price you are going to save MORE than 20 bux. The average price @Eastbay is much better than any Aussie shop and muuuuch bigger range. Of course you can find good local deals from time to time but please don't tell me that prices are better @ Footlocker and platypus

No shit sherlock, im simply saying they have jacked the prices on postage considerably high.

yes about 25-30, i still don't think its worth it considering, its coming from overseas and theres no real warranty.

Ive been buying from east bay for a long tie now, and i have had a few problems with orders with only 1 of them receiving a $20 voucher. Which I'm still not really happy with, as the shoes have a few imperfections and I'm buying new.

sometimes to save a few bucks its not worth having a shit product, unless you don't care either way and your getting it cheaper thats your choice. Not everyone is like you

        • +1

@bti_jet: Any proof of the shit you are talking about?25-30 what? But of course among the hundreds of satisfied customers there will always be people like you! I hope you enjoy your perfect purchases from …Platypus!

  • They pretty much always have the 20% off, its just clever marketing to make you feel as if you getting a special. They also have a poor selection of shoes, very reminiscent of what you find sitting in the clearance section of the Nike outlet for 8 months.

    • +3

Poor selection? Jeez, your head would explode if you walked into my local Athlete's Foot then, lol.

    • +2

      Poor selection of shoes???

probably a cyberman…impossible to find shoes let alone ones that can resist all that heavy duty stomping :p

    • I agree with your first sentence though. They give 20% off codes all the time: 8/10/2014, 5/10, 21/9, 3/9, 1/9, 31/8…

I'll post one up when they give 20% off, no minimum spend and free shipping.

    • +1

I agree with always having 20% off.

There variety in clothes and runners, are massive compared to us. Or stores look very limited to selection

I feel that the 28% charge for international shipping and handling is excessive. I am thinking of using a freight forwarder, anyone you guys can recommend?

My (non discounted) cart currently sits at 414.91 which equates to a shipping charge of 94.34 for a pair of shoes and 4 compression shorts!!! I can get a snowboard from the states that has less shipping than that.

    • try vpost: http://au.vpost.com/ new signups get 15% off their first order
can't guarantee it'll cost less than what eastbay are charging

Shoes arrived today: ordered Monday night - pretty incredible stuff. They're great, too.

  • +1

Missed this one but the 15% off $75 is still valid till 31/10/2014 if anyone wants it its on www.eastbay.com/coupons.
Also there is a fair selection of items marked "SHIPS FREE" and even though it states ships free within the US. My order went through as FREE SHIPPING.
