Apple sent invitation for the next event which will be held on 16/10. So next Thursday. Expected to update Imac & Ipad. I hope there would be new mac mini too :)
Well we'd have to wait till friday in Australia thanks to our timezone :P But yea as alex804 said, expect new imacs and iPads. Also a new 12inch Macbook Air with retina display is likely to debut on the day. The iMac will most probably get an upgrade specs-wise, and the 27 inch model will be likely to get the retina treatment. All still rumours/leaks, but very popular ones nonetheless.

Lenovo just announced the Yoga 3 Pro running Broadwell, so perhaps not.

Since macbook air with retina was mentioned, can someone explain why anyone would want this?
Wouldn't a 13" macbook air with retina be pretty much exactly the same as the pro retina 13" considering they'd need to increase the size/weight of it to keep the battery life up and such?
I've been hearing about 'retina' macs, anyone know when it's expected to be announced/released?
(Do they have some time of schedule? IE: refresh the line yearly etc)
