I wouldn't trust any dash cam with infra red lights.

They're obviously not designed to be installed behind a windscreen. All you'll see is a reflection of said lights.

  Pretty much all of the Chinese ones have it. They are useful for taxi though if you want to take video of the inside while driving. But for all other purposes its useless.
  
  It doesn't mean they are bad though, just means there is a feature on it which you will most likely never use lol.
