Logitech Z623 200watt Speakers - $119.2 JB Hi-Fi (or $113.24 Officeworks Lowest Price Guarantee)

130

I was looking for a decent set of PC speakers to compliment the new PC bought during the ebay 15% sale last month.

The Logitech Z623 seemed to have good reviews everywhere and it just so happens that JB Hi-Fi have a "Logitech On Sale" promotion with price down to $119.20…. regular price in most other places is mid $130's.

The tight arse in me forced me to check Officeworks to see if they carried these particular speakers and whadyaknow, they did!

No problem in office works with the price matching this morning… purchase price comes down to $113.24 with their "Lowest Price Guarantee"

Now…. I just need a good deal on a Creative USB X-Fi USB Sound Blaster!!!

    Good price.

Although DickSmith had this at $111 + Delivery during the eBay sale last Sunday.

    • Currently $119 at Dick Smith, using "reward20" coupon, which works despite the DSE website saying this coupon is for "online only". I had click-and-collect selected, I suppose that's sort-of online, even though I would be collecting in-store?

Note to anyone going the Officeworks price-match route: use The Good Guys webpage instead, OW won't price match if a coupon code is used. Also remember that OW give you free delivery for orders over $55, which this is, and they will price-match on telelphone orders too.

  • I'm no audiophile, but I've used these before and they sound pretty nice, quite clear.

  • these really haven't dropped in price much i paid $150 a year ago for my set best money ive ever spent:)

  • Spent 134 for this. Not a single regret

After the initial purchase this morning I now have these speakers set up….. and I've been absolutely blown away by the quality of these things! I can't believe how good they are!

Some of the best money I have ever spent… Hardware is good quality, rock solid and weighs a tonne. As for sound they are just awesome! I'm actually thinking about going back tomorrow to buy another set for the TV :)

Same reaction after i recived my first set last year and to this day im still amased at the sound quality.

  • Link to product manual:
    http://www.logitech.com/assets/51119/2/z623-quick-start-guid…

Although it has three inputs (2xRCA and 3.5mm on back of subwoofer, extra 3.5mm on right speaker), the manual doesn't say how these work. Does plugging in a 3.5mm plug disconnect the 2xRCA sockets? Or does it mix them all together?

Reason I ask, is that I would want to plug in a TV (using 2xRCA), an MP3 player (using the 3.5mm on the right speaker), and a computer (using the other 3.5mm). Will I have to unplug the MP3 and/or the computer to hear the TV?

I've used all 3 inputs you mention with no problem - they just all play at once!

      • Thanks!

  • I have read a lot of reviews on these, in summary. They are awesome for movies and games but if you're an audiophile your ears will bleed from the overdriven mids, but one review i read said with tweaking it fixed this shortcoming… Overall great value for money

  • I have to login to +1 this product, I bought this $115 at Logitech online last year, good enough for my ears.

  • Awesome on my TV. Love the multiple inputs

  • I bought these when Bing Lee had them for $100, IMO they sound great. Especially for the price!
