I have the Full HD version ME302C (got it in a Myer run-out sale few months back) and it is really good. probably wouldn't bother with the non-full-HD version but for the price looks tempting.

    • Oh man, have you picked up the one I reserved? lol…

    Is 1GB ram enough?

    • How long is a piece of string? The answer depends on what you want to do with it. If it's just normal surfing on the web, without any videos, then yes, it should be.

1080p videos and streaming movies is also okay.

  • Wondering what a hall sensor is/does!

    • detects magnetic fields, for compass, gps etc

Rather the full HD version, but at $99 for 10 inch tab you aren't going to be finding too much better. What I find funny, after updating to ios 8 on my ipad, the asus memopad is faster at browsing than the iPad, and stays connected to the wifi, unlike the iPad. Lots of people say apple products are worth the extra because they just work, but if they say that they are a blind fanboy. lol

    • I don't know why, but the apple's performance is keep deteriorating… Not good for their business as well their customers. We miss u Steve Job :((…

LOL. could not even spell the name right. Hopefully u r not an Apple fanboy

    • You are funny :)

it's seems to u r android lover not apple lover

        • still funny… :)

Apple and Google take very different philosphies to their software designs. Apple wants IOS to include as much stuff as possible while Google Android looks to be as lean as possible.

      Look at the contrast between
iOS8 — Project Bloat on a 16GB iPhone, this 5.8GB IOS update would take up roughly 40% of flash memory, if you upgrade via OTA. Via iTunes it's a little more than 1GB.

Android Kit Kat 4.4 — Project Svelte the core operating system is roughly 300MB without any core apps intalled (with GAPPS, that's an extra 200~300 MB).
This is of course pure Android, not modded ROMS like Touchwhiz or Sense.

        Always very informative Scrimshaw :)

Didn't one of the previous Galaxy phones lose around half of it's storage space because it was taken up by Samsungified Android, must have been some bloat…

EDIT; iOS 8 won't use 5.8GB of space; that's just the install file for a clean reinstall.

  • Any reviews on this tablet ? I would like a tablet mainly use to watch youtube.

  • Can you update to a newer Android? Can't find out on the internet…

  • Really tempted to get this. Can anyone guide me to a good deal on a tablet with 3G? Please.
