  • Not really a bargain mate

    with three years warranty

    • +1

      "with three years warranty"

Not a manufacturer warranty, it's a "hope the retailer is still in business and actually helps" warranty.

  • lol - grey imported stock

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/164860 - why not post your comment there too?

    • OP can it be used forprojector home theatre setup, or not sufficient for big room.

      • Great Question

Depends on the room. If you anything bigger than 6 x 5 meters probably would not get a playbar

      • I have a big room, about 8x6. With 2 play 1 as rear speakers, sounds sensational

If you have a dedicated home theatre you definitely shouldn't be looking at soundbars - their sole purpose is to sound better than an inbuilt tv speaker.

  • Hi OP,

Any deals on the Sonos Wirless Sub?

    Cheers!

  • Please recommend DTS receiver/decoder to pair with this soundbar.
It would be nice to have a DTS receiver without the amp and use Sonos soundbar as an active speaker.

    • For my bluray sony bluray player seems to decode dts 5.1 or 7.1 to dd 5.1 fine. For mkvs plex home theater there is a setting to ouput only 5.1 dd regardless the input format

  • Dear Store rep

I wonder how this would compare with Philips HTL9100 .I could not find anything comparing these two. I am keen on one of these as they are around the same price point…..Can you enlighten us if you have any info.

    Cheers .Thanks in advance.

    • Hi

I haven't heard the Philips HT9100, all I can say is that there is only one Soundbar that beats it in performance and that is the B&W Panorama

How would you compare with YSP - 3300 (Yamaha sound bar) , Despite the whole Sonos App thingy, I mean I have Spotify which i am going to Use it Anyways ?

    • I don't know why you got negged, it's a fair enough question…here's a link to where someone on WP has asked exactly the same thing: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2280510

  • There's been a couple of Playbar specials lately.. signs of a new model coming out?

    • i know…

damn i knew i shoulda wait for the hdmi version to come out

  • Sound Bar Should be Plan B , unless you have a Small Place. Considering the Fact , I hear every day at office how people Brag About their new Latest 4k or Oled T.v . but You wont Find any excitement until you experience the movie with a Sound. Imagine you go to Movies . Their are Two tiny Loud Speakers in front ?? Would you ask for Money $$ Back ??

    • Definitely. All my movies in the library are now 1080p 5.1 :)

      • @silverx I had this introduction with dolby atmos , Thats next level if you have space for it ! should have bought AVENTAGE AV Receivers instead of Yamaha RXV671 7.1 ! Current set up - Klipsch Reference speaker including Elac fronts & Jamo Sub !

        • I had an atmos demo as well, absolutely awesome. Not quite in the same price bracket though :s

        • @A061 y u so evil. Now i want!

  • amp doesn't have optical out and have xbox, etc… plugged to the amp. would using the optical out from the TV work the same instead from amp?
