  • Yes! My favourite scanner app. I was going to pay for it but didn't get around to buying gift cards.

  • +2

    What's the point?

    1. It takes photos, same as a camera.

    2. It saves them on the phone, same as inbuilt camera

    3. It can upload them online, like normal sharing apps.

It cannot OCR… so basically it's a camera, right?

    • I upvoted you because you're basically right that without OCR, this application is limited.
However, some things these apps do that adds value includes
      - auto adjusting the page. It's rarely that you take a photo and get the page straight on. this will align the page image correctly.
      - allow stitching of multiple photos into a single pdf
      - allow categorising of documents

So, it certainly does more than a regular picture would. However, the OCR is a very useful feature … when it works.

For the price, you can't complain though.

    • It saves them as a PDF and also does multiple pages in one file.

      • It saves them as a PDF

Not sure why anybody would want to bloat an image by converting it into a PDF. I could create PDFs from my selfies but what's the point of that?

The only advantage of PDF is if it is searchable, and that cannot happen if it's not doing OCR.

also does multiple pages in one file

I admit that is quite handy.

But any number of free PDF applications can do the same.

I guess my main objection is to calling it a "scanner", when it doesn't really function as one.

    • Can it scan any Bar-Codes?

  • Great App for those annoying Tax Invoice/Receipts. Highly Recommended.

Use a camera. Does EXACTLY the same thing.

We've been known to use shirt-pocket size Panasonic digicams.

Choose Macro Zoom in mode near (but NOT) the iA mode.

Later, switch between iA (for normal photo shooting) &
the mode you left in Macro Zoom mode, just 1 detent away.

Fine for documents, but it still can't do Bar-Codes. :-/

  • Thank you

it's not good like a real scanner but not too bad. it's work for me
