MSY have a Kingston model for $37… good price on the MP3 player though.

      +1 … The Kingston drive isn't a bargain
I'd rather drive to MSY and pick one up for $37
(and I can preorder to ensure they have sufficient stock)

Or anyPC has free shipping at $37.99

MSY may not have a great reputation in other states, but I'd buy from them over Austin any day.

  • I've linked both products.

The mp3 came free last weekend with purchase of an LCD…I couldn't even sell this to another human being for 1cent without feeling guilty.

  • I bought one of these a while back and regretted it, the Kingston Data Traveler line is not Linux compatible! (Works OK in Windows though.)

    • … Are you serious? If it works in windows, it'll work in linux. It might be formatted with NTFS, in which case, if you don't have the ntfs-3g driver installed, linux won't be able to read it.

Unfortunately I am serious. It is well documented try googling it. In summary the transfer slowly grinds to a halt or aborts with errors when writing large (ie 700 MB) files. The linux kernel gurus seem to think it's a timing issue between the linux driver and the chip in the data traveler. No fix yet.
