  • Had a quick read through it and it looks quite good, assuming you don't need data/international calls & sms. Looks like a direct competitor to TPG's phone plans. Call rates/SMS rates look exactly the same too.

edit: iPrimus seems better than TPG for the two cheaper plans ($9.95 and $12.95) giving $75 and $180 respectively per month compared to TPG's $9.99 and $12.99 giving $50 and $150 respectively.
As for the iPrimus $19.95 plan ($350 cred) vs TPG's $19.99 ($300), TPG's one has "Free TPG to TPG Mobile - 1000 minutes per month" which is effectively like 'yes' time, despite $50 less credit. I would say TPG wins for the $20 plan.

  • Which network does iPrimus use?

the 12.95 and 19.95 plans look like great value.

  • Actually they are with Telstra 2G ! this offer is Amazing !!!! Telstra is much better than TPG's Optus 2G.

"Things you should know about iPrimus SIM only Saver Plans:
1.Availability: Account holder must be at least 18 years old. Service not available to all customers and is available in Telstra 2G coverage areas. It is provided for normal personal domestic use only."

  • Good find. But just inform you guys few drawbacks of iPrimus if you wanna join them. 1) no yes!time; 2)the Cap Credit does not include internationa SMS; 3)MMS is not inclusive (both national 'n' international)

  • So are they optus or telstra?

So if i go onto the internet on my phone, it will come out of the $20 deposit?

    thanks

  • Be aware that their call centre is 100% INDIAN.

Also, you are REQUIRED to pay by credit card to use this deal. They do not send bills nor accept Bank accounts.

  • I prefer the Exetel $10 plan with similar credit but includes 50mb data. Useful for those quick google lookups and IM. But Exetel does not include 1800/1300 and diversions in the cap though international SMS is included.

This gets my vote for the 12.95 and 19.95 plans.

  • Network for these services are Telstra 2G

International calls are barred upon signup, but can be unbarred by calling through and verifying some more details.

Our call centre is located in on Flinders Street, Melbourne, Australia overlooking crown casino. We flat out refuse to outsource any of our operations due to the low quality of service to you as a customer. More than happy to take you on a tour if you're so inclined :)

Credit card only at the moment, working on direct debit through savings / cheque accounts.

Any usage outside of the cap (i.e. WAP/GPRS data is taken from the $20 account deposit)

    • Hi,

Do you plan to offer a real pre-paid service ie once the credit is used up, the user has to top up. That eliminates the risk of racking up a huge bill, unknowingly.

  • looks like a very good offer.
do not rely on my opinion.
    chech their Web site yourself.

  • Prepaid = looking into it, no date set yet
