Why are a lot of branded shoes on this site insanely cheap?
    Are they the real deal?

    • The ozbargain effect strikes again!

    • +3

looks like they get all the ugly shoes that other stores can't sell

    • +1

They are parallel imports of the brands, but they might be fakes as most of the asian markets are flooded with such shoes. Same tags and naming and look identical.
Or it might be the stock for old models.

    • +1

paulswarehouse is real deal if you have been their shop. normally their styles are off season, or like @gaggy says parallel import - eg. for local developing asian market, the finish can be different from what is in Rebel even with the same logo shoes.
In Rebel, a pair of Nike $79 is different from $279.
What shoes can be bought for $20? Good price.

      • Just don't expect you are getting a pair of shoes worth $179.

  • Reebok CL Leather Ultralite (Mens) for 20.- instead of 100.- size 10 only

    Bit suspicious given the price..

? its a physical shop that ive been to. Its like sports mart, but with cheap shoes. Maybe google before you 'suspect' anyone/anything.

I noticed that a few of the Levis trucker jackets I ordered in their most recent clearance sale were missing the Levi's logo on the breast pocket.

All my items came direct from Sri Lanka too via DHL Express.

I'd be weary. The shoes obviously aren't great models to begin with anyway.

  • Thanks OP :-)

  • Thanks OP, Ordered two pairs for missus and mum.

  • thanks..

Got two pairs as well for my beautiful wife (she is standing beside me as I write this). That will keep her happy for a few days until the next bargain. Thanks OP!

really..$20 for these ugly shoes? naa:(

  • Do they have click and collect option to avoid $10 postage?

    • Sadly no.

  • Thanks OP. You have made my day with this post. We needed to by the wife some new runners and could not find any cheap. Thanks again.

just be careful, these guys sell fakes at times

    Thanks for posting OP.

But these are possibly some of the most hideous shoes I've ever seen, and that includes the well worn pair of $20 Lowes sneakers my dog chewed beyond recognition a couple of years back.

  • Can someone please explain how the VIP card works?

  • So do you wear socks with the suwanees or not?

    • Not on your feet….

PayPal transaction still marked as pending. Don't really know what happened.

    • My Paypal transaction shows as authorised, but not yet processed by Paul's Warehouse.

Just saw this notice on their website:

      http://www.paulswarehouse.com.au/storefront/catalog/HomeImag…

Wonder how many of us will actually receive our order?

      • -1

Apology not accepted. Don't have the available stock? Then list stock counts, so people don't waste their time ordering something that ran out two days ago.

  • +2

It's a complete waste of time dealing with this business. Don't expect you'll even get what you ordered. I ordered 4 pairs of shoes. Today I find two emails from them, stating 2 pairs are out of stock, and I can choose replacements. This means ANY items showing as in stock can 'become' unavailable.

I had to make a long distance phone call to clarify how their "buy two get one free" worked (which isn't even true - it may be legal, but it's still morally dishonest). Then I spent a few hours researching which shoes to buy. Placed the order, entered credit card details, only to now be told half the order is unavailable.

They stated I could choose replacements, but I simply don't have time to muck around doing the same thing all over again, only to receive another two emails stating those new items I've chosen are also unavailable.

I asked them to cancel my order and remove my details from their database. Until this business hires competent website programers, and enter stock counts, they're simply not serious about having an online presence.

I can order something from Amazon, and may pay more, but at least I know I'll get it. Nearly invariably QUICKER halfway around the world, and when something is unavailable, they ship the rest of the order first, and when the missing items come in they ship those for FREE.

I'm sick and tired of dealing with Australian businesses. They whine and moan about struggling, but the reality is they simply don't deserve our patronage. I'm in my mid forties, yet even I can see businesses like this are dinosaurs heading directly for extinction.

    • Sadly, these businesses often survive because they do not mind how they treat their customers.
Compare that to the typical HK or China-based eBay powerseller who will firstly make sure that the transaction is fast and smooth, and will profoundly apologise and make up for any mistake. These guys understand business.

  • Got my order today … ladies $10 ones pretty good shoe actually…

Other pair came in box with Oz pricing on the outside, but inside still had all the Indian sales stuff including the maximum selling price of 1999 Rupee, about $37 … they were a bit narrow for their size, will drop them off at the Salvos probably. Oh also had when they were made, which was 2.5 years ago… been sitting around for a while :)

  • Just got an email saying my order's been shipped. Paypal payment has been processed by PW.

  • Got an email that my ordered shoes are out of stock..

  • My order was shipped yesterday. I almost gave up..

  • Got an email today (after 16 days!) that one of the pairs I ordered is out of stock. I asked for full cancellation, as the shipping is too high for one pair of shoes.
Horrible service I have to say. It takes that long for them to find out?

  • Got lucky received both rebook shoes that I ordered. Definitely genuine. At this price it's a steal!
