Included battery itself costs $69 http://www.bunnings.com.au/bosch-18v-li-ion-1-5ah-battery_p6…, charger costs $49 http://www.bunnings.com.au/bosch-18v-li-ion-1-hour-battery-c…
Even better if you can get 5% off Coles giftcard - use self checkout counter to swap them to Bunnings giftcards as you wish.
Had two Bosch garden tools (both shipped from UK) running on same battery with this one. Now have three batteries and three chargers….

  • I'd love to get one of these at this price. Ill check my local tomorrow and report back if they have any.

    • please update, are you in NSW?

I have one, they are running them out as the 'tab' style trimmers are useless.
A pack of 20 generic tabs costs $10, each tab lasts about 10m, so constantly changing and buying them.
And battery lasts nowhere near the stated 1000m, more like about 250m before it requires a 4+hr charging.

    Avoid, avoid, avoid.

4+ charging? I want this more for the charger and battery. I have the 1.3amp batteries and they take an hour at most to charge fully. Might be something wrong with your charger?

I already took the first one back as, after a full overnight charge, I was getting no more than 10 minutes of edge trimming power…

        Again, avoid, avoid, avoid…

  • Great buy at that price… esp with battery and charger!
The Mrs hates our 2 stroke so I'll have to have a look!

  • I have one of these and love it. Brilliant for precision edging. Battery lasts several 'uses' before I'll bother recharging. Unless you bave a very large garden these are great.

  • I just got back from the Notting Hill VIC store. The kit ones are still $188, no stock though. The skins are $99. Will try another store later.

  • I use it on a medium sized garden, mostly for edging purposes. A single charge lasted for maybe about 300-400 linear meter, and just like phunkyfeelone said, it doesnt go near 1km.

  • Just came across this thread while looking for a line trimmer, did anyone in Melbourne find one?

    • I didn't. :(

      • Thanks for your reply, so there isn't any chance of a Masters pricematch either…
