  • $0.43 is a great price, have to order 17 packs to get that price however it's worth a try. Ordering now.

  • Small problem, tried to order 17 packs at 4.30 a pack to make up to the free shipping minimum of $70 - I'm still getting charged $8 shipping at checkout… Store Rep?

    • Worked for me, $73.10 total shipping is zero.

    • Hi Cam,

Thanks for taking my call just now. As discussed, we implemented a new shipping module last week and this error was caused by that. I will get it credited for you today.

      Cheers,

      Simon

Thanks Simon, looking forward to trying out your pods! Appreciate your personal call.

  • Tempted, but shipping killed the deal. Not going to order 17 packets just in case I don't like it.

Should offer a shipping discount so it works more like a trial or sample

    • Hey Darpy, shoot me an email to [email protected] and I will sort something out for you. Cheers, Simon

  • how does this compare to nespresso? I like the ristretto #10

  • The equivalent Ristretto, Roma and Arpeggio pods from Nespresso are $0.68 each so these are quote a bit cheaper. To be honest, the quality of any of the pods doesn't even go close to comparing to an excellent quality freshly roasted bean so, with that in mind, you're really just paying for a 'hit' of caffeine rather than a really good coffee. So, the 33% discount is probably worth it…

    • yes i understand, but 8/10 coffees i buy taste like dirt, so i rather get something that tastes half decent 100% of the time for about $1 inc milk then pay $4 for rubbish.

Smart Coffee compares well to Nespresso.

Taste is a personal preference of course but I rate the Smart Coffee as equivalent to L'Or brand..

Personally, I would usually go for AeroPress/Espresso machine as my preference for coffee but if I need a quick brew I often use the pod machine at Brewspace. Having tested 6 different brands before settling on Smart Coffee & Podista (the latter is equivalent of Supermarket brand ones really) I have a fairly good handle on quality levels.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

        Cheers,

        Simon

PS. For the first 10 people who email me at [email protected] I will send you a free shipping code for orders over $20 and an additional Smart Coffee sample box of your choice with your order. Make the subject: Ozbargain Podmania

  • I buy the Coles brand ones. Work well in my work nespresso and taste ok., better than the D'or brand.

    • I prefer the L'Or pods 9, 10 & 12.

      • I prefer L'Or ones too. 10 is not quite my taste but I like 9 and 12.
The packaging of Coles pod is just horrible..Someday it will cut my finger.

        • I fill my own reusable pods with whatever coffee I like (currently Mountain Grown Vittoria.. 'they know coffee') for under 10c a pod … :-) … !!

        • @cornucopia: Hi, we were trialing some refillable pods a few months back. Which ones do you use? - Simon
