  • For my LG G3, I don't think 2600mAh will do much for me, but that 13,000 mAh one is tempting. Just out of curiosity, what are the dimensions of the 13,000? $39.99 looks like a very good price for that capacity.

    • +1

Yup. 2600 mAh isn't much for LG G3. But it can charge the iPhone 5S fully once with some juice left

      The 13000 mAh is 138mmX62mmX22mm.

      • Thanks

  • +2

    Just a few things.

Remember that a 2600 mAh does not charge completely a 2600 mAh mobile battery. There is the conversion ratio (around 65%).

If you are looking for something bigger AND of proven quality, get the Xiaomi powerbank at banggood.com

Got both of them, opened and I can confirm they are genuine Xiaomi products.

    • Thanks for the links. Yeah that 2600 would hardly do anything for my 3000mAh battery.

    • -@Starflex Refreshing to read someone else clearing up the mAh charging confusion ( over optimistically hoping ). Most people think that the mAh pretty transfer from one battery to another with slight efficiency loss. I also try to explain that you only get 50% to 70% @ best.

This is NOT a Deal, i was just at the shop in a local shopping centre with a 5000 mAh for $20, quality and compact.
Sorry but 2600 mAh is going to barely charge it once - not worth it
    Negative from me.

    • +1

True. There are other power banks available for cheaper prices.

We assure this one is of good quality with Samsung Li-Ion Batteries & the LCD display adds to the cost.

There is also a deal on a higher capacity of 6500 mAh for $25 (With No LCD Display, But with LED charge indicator lights)

    • +2

5000 mAh for $20, quality and compact

I really doubt the 'quality' and '5000mAh' part. If it is a real deal then you should post it as a bargain.

  • Rep, if I run a battery drain test on this, can you GUARANTEE the mAh rating of this unit?

    • +1

Yup. We can guarantee it. Just take into account the conversion ratio.

  • Will it be able to charge a nexus 5 or an iphone 6 completely with some left over?

    • +1

iPhone 6 - 4.7" - 1810 mAh Battery - May charge fully. Have not tested yet
      Nexus 5 - 2300 mAh - Charges around 90%

  • Thinking about buying the 13000mAh battery pack for $40.00 mainly because it has 2 usb ports. Can anyone recommend any others? Or is this one the way to go?

  • +2

Probably stating the obvious here for most, but some might not have thought through their battery backup use. Before deciding on an external power bank, try to think of what you want it's main use to be.

1/ As an emergency back up top up power source for small to average size phone/smartphone/ipod etc

2/ As an emergency back up top up power source for larger smartphone/phablet or even tablets

3/ To fully recharge phones/tablets and all gadgets that have large capacity batteries with usb charging

The above primary uses should determine what size/weight power bank to get. Because the larger are heavier and more bulky, that is a major factor to remember. If your always carrying a bag, then not such a big issue.

I would rather use a smaller better quality battery than a larger bulky model that your carting around and often only use a small limited amount of capacity. Often you have to go out with short notice, and just want a small light back up to slip in your pocket in order to top up for quick emergency calls.
Alternatively is to have a small one, and a larger one for heavier uses when travelling or camping etc.
Just some good points to consider first.
