      Yes (depending on the brand), but apparently the AF is super slow.

        Yes on the Canon EF adapter but only some lenses and AF will also be super slow. Almost defeats the purpose.

      Canon adapter is slow but primarily meant for EXIF, metering, electronic controls etc
      Sony adapter is fast

    wow fantastic price! I bought one of these from the Sony Centre sale and it is a FANTASTIC camera! Awesome value for a high-performance FULL-FRAME camera. I have no regrets selling off my Canon gear and making the swap. I've written a review of my swap over on Sony's site here:

    Any questions, feel free to ask! I bought a cheap M42 to FE Mount adapter from Ebay and have hooked up my dad's old Pentax Asahi 50mm f1.4 manual focus lens and it's a dream to use especially with focus peaking switched on.

    I have a few E-mount lenses for my NEX-7. Will they work with A7? If so, a SEL50F18 would still be 50mm instead of 75mm when used with NEX-7 right? Thanks for advice.

      No, the A7 will crop it to match the APS C sensor size and take a 8mp photo. You can turn this off but you'll end up with severe vignetting and distortion around the borders. Crop lenses will work but not well.

    Great Price for Full frame and Service of Videopro is great. Got few lens from them for my NEX5n. Only think stopping me are the expensive full frame lens for A7 and NEX5n is going great.

    Possibly deserves its own thread but I can't be bothered … I noticed videopro doing the A5100 for $592 on their web site which is about $100 better than any other aus stock I could find. I went into their store in Brisbane City and it was $543 in store! Grabbed one.

      Hi american beauty, the pricing will change just before COB today I believe. We're just about out of stock of the A7S at the moment however if you're quick, you may get one of the last ones. Even if not, we're expecting more stock in the next week or so. Depending on your location, shipping can take anywhere from 2-7 days for delivery once we despatch from Brisbane.

    Just received my A7. I have purchased a couple of other Sony A7's in the past and some things I noticed that may potentially be of concern:

    • No Sony seal on the box
    • No bonus lens adapter slip with the unique code for redemption
    • No Sony $30 eGift Discount card

    Maddie, is there a reason for this? I'm not too fussed about the seal or the $30 discount card.
