    Hi rep,

Can you please advise if these globes have been tested and meet Australian standards?

If not, can you please advise what standards they have been tested against?

    Thanks

Edit: Mod has pretty much answered this question in the OP, but I'd still be interested to hear if these globes meet any kind of standard

Lots of talk on the radio today about how these types of globes interfere with digital tv signals.

Definitely had you picked as a talk-back listener.

Just note: aside from some quality issues there may also be certain electrical / safety risks associated with no-name LED lighting.

  • "In countries that use 220–240 volts AC domestic power, standard-size E27 and small E14 "
    from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edison_screw
So, would you need one of these $1 converters?

    • Would depend on what you wanted to use them for. I have two bedside table lamps that could use this globe as-is.

Even if you did get an adaptor so that you could use these in (for example) a standard bedroom ceiling light fitting, why would you? 3W is nowhere near enough for a normal sized room (I'm happy with 5W personally, but a lot of people would say even that isn't enough).
