  • Apple Store has the Macbook for 100 more, with a .13GHz faster processor.

Hmm, the linked one has a dedicated GPU (9400M) versus the onboard one of those I linked (X3100).

Which means it just might be bargain-y. Certainly enough to get the neg removed.

  • The pictures on the website are not of the product listed. I'm not sure that I would order such an expensive item from a site that can't get right something that simple.

  • what macbook is this? plastic or alu?

by any account, it's not worth the price

Obviously they don't know much about Macs. That is definitely not a ALU

    • well I never recall a white macbook model that was ever sold for $2200

  • David Jones Tuggerah was selling some of the older plastic macbooks for $1300-$1400 a week ago. Not sure of their specs tho.

  • missleading product.

  • I got the email for this one and thought it looked good, but it just seemed a bit too iffy - not that I have the money or need for it… lol I guess I've turned too much into an Apple convert. While maybe not the best deal, it's not too bad

  • The picture is incorrect, the model number they specify is the previous model range Macbook 13" 2.0Ghz which was aluminium… when they did the last refresh of Macbooks, all the aluminium ones were renamed "Macbook Pro". See here:

    Yeh well.
    lol

  • refurbished store better value.

    • For starters, comparing new prices directly to refurbished is kinda unfair.

And second, there isn't a cheaper one on that site. There's this, with a faster CPU (2.4GHz) and larger HDD (250GB), but it's also ~$300 more. So value would not really be better. Comparable, maybe, but not better… and that's if you ignore the refurbished vs new thing.

      • For $1599 free shipping and Snow Leopard, the refurb latest gen 13" mbp is much better value than this. its not just the CPU, the 7hr battery is already more than enough for a reason. Refurb store product get the same apple warrantee as new product and I have have seen them 1st hand and the only thing is they come in brown paper box. So this is definitely not a great buy.

and for a store who put the wrong description and pictures on their product, probably a non-apple approved reseller, and for once these 1st gen 13" Al macbook were only retailed for $2099, not $2189, is more than enough reason you are not getting a honest deal.

It seems ok but not a great bargain. The model is being run out at the moment, other places ~$100 more. JB have the white version for $1499 with basically identical stats (but not as pretty) here: http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/computers-laptops/laptops/app…

  • Well I apologize guys, like I said I was just posting it in case it WAS a bargain, but
I don't know much about Macs.

  • Shocking deal. This is previous rev of macbook for almost the same price as the current model.
