  • You are on fire Trent.

    • Omg it's never ending today lol, I think I'm done then another pops up

  • Anyone own one of these PendoPads? I'm looking for something simple to carry around so I don't need to take my Surface Pro everywhere :)

    • I had 7' before. It comes with quad A7 processor. Old but power saving. Don't expect for high performance.lags quite often….. It's fine for email, youtube, etc. Not even good for angry birds…..

    • As someone who bought it at DSE and returned it back within a fortnight, I can confidently say that it's next to useless and please stay away from it:

      1) RAM isn't supportive and doesn't look like it's 1GB, it's not even 256 MB according to me
      2) worst camera - please forget about using it for video calls like Skype, etc
      3) not really touch responsive

Good for reading I should admit

    • There are some reviews on the target website. Looks like the 10" has better reviews

  • Good sale…thanks Trent.

  • GPS any good on the 7" Pendopad or would it be similar to a Chinaphone? Anyone have experience using it as a GPS in the car? Tossing between getting one of these as a GPS or the Nokia 530 from Woolies.

    • If this is the right device it doesn't list either GPS or bluetooth in the specs;

      • +1

No that's not the version.. This is the one

        • So many Pendo models, it is hard to keep track. This is not the same 8GB quad-core that has been sold before.
Specs are very similar to the PNDPP44Q7GPBLK , but a bit faster, and GPS plus bluetooth now.

You could use it as a car GPS, but the screen is not the brightest.

        • @manic: Yeah the other one is discontinued I think and I think the crap 7" ones from officeworks are going too

    • Bought one last night. Confirm GPS works well, installed Sygic on it and navigates accurately. First startup took a little while to lock-on but that was inside the house, but quick after that. The screen is a little dim when used in sunlight and the viewing angles are pretty crappy. Still way better than my iNew V3. Now to return the Lumia 530 to Woolies.

  • Anyone use mame on these?

  • Just throwing it out there…..Pendo has win 8.1, 7 or 8 inch pad available now….. It's Marginally interesting that china has ramped up its production of win/intel chip devices. Looking forward to win 8.1 tv sticks.

already on sale now as per this catalogue which has no start nor end date => permanent reduction? :)

    • Yeah some started a few hrs ago and no it's not a permanent reduction

  • Coles has one of the 7" pendos for $49

    • I think they are the dual cores? Not the quad core like these because I think these new ones are exclusive to Target

  • A question regarding $30 starter kit from Optus, can I use that for $2/day plan? which effectively will give me 15 days of access with a total of 500MB * 15 of data?

    • Yes you can i have been doing this for months but you have to change your number each 15 days.Get the yellow pack says SIM for most phones out there(and those from donkeys years ago) Yes you get 15 days with 500mb and unli calls and unli text each day for $15 not bad.

    • /If you switch data off and 40MB/$1day between Wifi_hotspots i believe your number can go up to six months. Possible 4,368 standby hours@ $2.50pm
      1,200 MB*
This of course leaves out the infinite stuff but still a nice option.

  • missus got the 10" pendo and i'm not disappointed with its performance so far. hell at that price point, why would I be :-)

    Thanks OP!

    • Glad you like it :)
